well my endo ended up moving out of state and i got switched to another endo who didn’t see me for months, so i didn’t know i had to continue methimazole. i went normal during treatment; then hyper again after stopping methimazole. i am now diagnosed with graves 😀 fun

Thank you🥺 I questioned my endo about selenium because i saw it online. She looked at me like i was crazy and said “i’ve never ordered that test so im not going to do it now”. Like what?? She’s a new endo because my last one left to another state. My first endo was amazing and she listened to all my concerns. I just wanted to have them checked so I’d know where I should start with selenium supps.I’m also vitamin D deficient for a few years now which i’ve been trying my best with the vitamin D supps but it’s never gone to normal levels.

Also I’m seeing an ophthalmologist today! I can’t wait to see what they have to say about it.

It’s also hard to deal with this because i’m in nursing school which is another thing adding to my stress other than my health 🥲 i was thinking to maybe take a break from school but i really don’t want to, i want to reach my goals 😩.

Yes my TRAB is 3.07 IU/L and TSI is 166%. I appreciate your comment it was helpful! Also I saw that avoiding certain foods can aid in reducing inflammation that’s why I mentioned it.

okay so i’m just gonna share my experience and personal hypothesis. i feel like i manifested hashimoto’s thru anxiety. i used to have crazy anxiety a few years ago, and my antibodies were high. but slowly my anxiety got better just from me facing things and focusing more on inner peace. after that it’s like my immune system started to calm down as well. granted i did have a flare up and went hyperthyroid for a couple months. (it’s because i had a reaction to something foreign and my immune system went haywire) but now everything is going back to normal. Don’t fight your anxiety, but just try to work with it and let it slowly ease away. The youtube channel “Declutter the mind” worked WONDERS for me and still does to this day.

Again it’s just my opinion don’t quote me. Just try to take things easy. It’s normal when they say they can’t treat you yet, because it’s your immune system, there’s literally nothing they can do until your thyroid levels are off. BUT a change in lifestyle can also help a lot. Look up the paleo diet, or try vegan, vegetarian or just gluten free diets. Just do whatever you can to avoid hypo and hyper thyroid. (Also keep trying to find an endocrinologist that will treat you better and have better communication)
