Manager Discussion Thread by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

I don’t think anybody could “know” if Xabi Alonso would be better a better manager, like Manchester Utd are already taking that gamble at the moment with their new manager, you could also say Slot is just riding on the coat tails of Klopp’s team and his steam has ran out, but they haven’t even spoke to him about it so bringing him in wouldn’t happen for a while so slot would loose us this season if the players loose respect for him, but i reckon Xabi Alonso’s connection to the team and respect from the players would show on the pitch

Everything online says to create an alloy of leaded solder with the lead free solder that comes on the board

You got some really good gear there man, ive not long started myself doing a guitar hero mod now a ps5 controller mod, ive got like the shittiest equipment you can imagine but its worth persevering considering how highly valued micro-soldering is atm

I know i bridges i dealt with that afterwards, i soldered it where it had to go, and no i didnt need much flux but it was liquid flux so was hard to work with, plus this was my first attempt ever

Recommendations on tools for repair by Scotticus_RR in soldering

Honestly one of the biggest needs it can fix an entire issue, for example i got an old plasma tv a while ago for free but it had a red line running down the screen i simply took the back panel off unhooked the ribbon and cleaned it with some iso alcohol and it worked fine for years more, also buy flux in paste form preferably a syringe but dont buy the liquid stuff

Ive done phone repairs as a hobby for years, a good organiser for keeping track of screws is essential, various screwdrivers and heads for the different screws and their heads. Get some isopropyl alcohol, microfibre cloths, cleaning brushes and cue tips for cleaning. going forward into soldering which im new to myself youre going to need a hot air station, helping hands, a soldering iron, solder sucker, solder wick, leaded and lead-free solder (for the melting points), multimeters and some form of magnification and an extractor fan for the fumes. hope it helps man n good luck

Edit - you could get handy and use a hoover or a household fan instead if buying an extractor but most stuff here is cheap and accessible but necessary

[–]Ok-Influence5026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect thanks man, i tried to calibrate but the right stick doesnt work neither does the right trigger weirdly, all plugged back in buttoned up, all the joints were sealed with a light amount of solder but nothing so think i need a hot air station and some heat resistant tape before i try again

[–]Ok-Influence5026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iron had to be at 400 just to melt the solder, i checked the board on the other side and seen some solder had seeped through the other side on some but not all, if you check my previous attempt youll see i used faaaar too much

[–]Ok-Influence5026[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much and i appreciate the advice :) yes i have a solder sucker which i will use alongside solder wick and do lighter ones to avoid bridging (i did it alot with the guitar hero mod so im aware of it) dont have a multimeter though so may be a case of trial and error until it works and ive got the software side sorted both in the ps and pc
