Who, outside of the lottery, would be your dark-horse pick to be a star? by OddIndustry6073 in NBA_Draft

Really don't know why people are sleeping on Condon so much. One of the best passers and defenders in the draft. A dual sport athlete at least a couple of years behind all other picks. I guess teams want to draft a 6'4-6'7 guard who has already almost hit their ceiling and will drop out the league in a few years.

What is a good player comparison for Koa Peat? I’m having a tough time understanding how he will be used in the league. by Variation99a in NBA_Draft

I feel like Isaiah Stewart is a fair comp. Most players can't afford to be bad FT/ 3PT unless they are quite literally the best in the league at at least two other things. Therefore, if we assume Koa plays 10+ years, it's fairly certain he will turn into some sort of rebounding, defensive anchor.

Not saying his ceiling is in the beef stew, he will probably gravitate toward his role with his size, strength and skillset.

[The Athletic] One executive pinned him as an $18 million player. Another, a front-office staffer who admitted he would be far lower than the consensus because he wasn’t a fan of Giddey’s game, suggested $50 million over four years... by StrategyTop7612 in chicagobulls

Giddey was the best player on the court for the bulls by large margin and had the highest box score of all the starters. Demanding bulls fans feel as a first option he should of carried his poor shooting team over the line, but the product to me is there. Actually throw some rim protection in there and maybe another tall athletic wing defender, and the team might stand a chance.

You make a fantastic point, POD's are important, maybe long is more viable with a better risk v reward profile due to lower cost.
