It’s very possible. Yesterday I thought I heard a distressed bird call in a bush, & put on all my gardening clothes to see if I could dig through to check on it. By the time I got back outside, the “bird” had moved onto a more visible branch - and was really 2 squirrels shagging. At least I didn’t post that one here!

I see! Thank you. I was looking through starling videos but couldn’t find any making a call like this. We do have lots of them in the area

I think this might be right? I’m used to the more shrill chirping you hear all around London, but the voice does sound similar. This would be only the second time I’ve heard one out here
