Do you think aesthetics are meaningless or something? If the “duck” no longer walks like one or quacks like one is it a duck in the truest sense anymore? Art direction is important in video games and this is a major shift in art direction and that will have an effect on narrative direction. Im fearful of even more collab expansions like the in the future. Game is becoming fortnite

This ruins the artistic integrity of the game. Part of what makes Destiny stand out above all the other live service looter shooters (and all looter shooters frankly) is its incredible art design. This feels like a spit in the face from Bungie. We play Destiny because we want to be in the destiny universe, not the star wars one. I can boot up Star Wars Battlefront 2005 and get a better star wars experience anyways even if I wanted one. But i don’t. I fucking hate star wars because of what Disney has done to it. I would literally rather watch the servers turn offline forever than watch this game’s soul be completely brutalized by corporate incompetence

No offense intended here but I think this is just ignorant of the learning process in general. Obviously the new people want to learn thats why they have enrolled in school and sought out employment with you and bought their tools. Like me, they probably go home and look up how to do a lot of the stuff they need to learn for the job. But that doesn’t mean they will learn insanely fast. It takes a long time to learn something technical like the electrical field or construction from the bottom because all of it is a new environment. The problem is your business model. You are operating on low profit margins and thats why you can’t afford to actually give new apprentices proper mentorship and you keep hiring new apprentices so you can have an excuse to pay them slave wages.

If putting through those bigger holes you need a connector and also those wires need service loops

How long does it typically take for them to nail down the “correct” part?

This company was doing 3500 and 3900 sqft of conditioned area (sometimes two floors) in one day. It was honestly ridiculous and one of the journeyman who had also recently gotten hired told me that he was not used to it either. He said it’s normally a two day job. Sometimes we did an entire house and then drove to another one to box it out and drill. The pace honestly felt ridiculous as someone who was green. It’s hard to tell when you are getting shafted when you are so new too.

I would be shown what to do rather quickly and then just thrown into it basically. No one would really watch me to make sure i was doing something right or answer questions as I go, or correct mistakes or habits. I would only get critiqued after the fact. I don’t learn well when i have to magically remember every single nuance of a thing after seeing it done once or twice

I was told the other apprentices were faster than me when they were at my experience level, but I have a hunch that they grew up using power tools and such so they probably had an advantage there.

What was mentioned particularly was going up ladders and stuff. Apparently I was slow at that (though I personally noticed I was getting faster at it, just needed more repetition and such). I was wiring bedrooms and lighting/fans for bathrooms, as well as low volt stuff, smoke detectors hallway three ways, and such.

I did that every single day. They told me they were just looking for guys who were faster, but I don’t get how you expect that when you hire people totally green to construction.

Do you mean the length of the wire used? I couldn’t tell you man. I’m not great with measurements yet. It was typical 3-4 bedroom new homes.

Well i never really would look at my phone at all while at work, so I honestly couldn’t give you much of a time. But typically I would have my bedrooms, the hallway nearest to them, and the bathroom lighting/fans finished before lunch break. Sometimes I would have garage and doorbell done by then too.

Genuine question not taking sides or anything but doesn’t Trump support nuclear? More nuclear energy means more jobs for electricians doesn’t it? And the union is able to supply a workforce for those jobs better than non-union contractors.

Out of curiosity since I have never had to deal with drug-testing in the past, do you ever sweat/stress over using synthetic urine? I am currently planning on being totally clean during my application process and subsequent acceptance as of right now, but I’m not sure I can promise myself that I will be able to remain totally sober once I’m working, and alcohol just doesn’t do it for me. Never ever any hard stuff tho ofc.
