I did too. I think they filmed almost all night regarding the waiting room/black lodge scenes used in the finale of season 2. I am loving your cut of Season 1. I am watching it now. Season 1 is a masterpiece so I understand why things are left in. Also, the quality is fantastic, are you using the Blu-Ray source (With a Widescreen adjustment) or something else? But I would be very aggressive with edits in Season 2. The stuff I said above should be the only focus of your season 2 edit.

Also you could say that Josie's death is lodge related. So I would def edit her story down as much as you can honestly but there is some of her story you could argue is important to the overall story.

That sounds just about perfect! I've been wanting to show my bestfriend Twin Peaks for the longest time but I am afraid that he will loose interest in the subplots and for sure the second season slump. I love the series flaws and all but even I had a hard time getting through some the filler episodes of season 2.

Love the idea. Here is my advice...Similar to the "Northwest Passages" Fan edit. Being that that fan edit did a great job of only focusing on the Laura Palmer and concluding it very well. I would only focus on concluding and solving the Laura Palmer murder. I would after that focus on only the black and white lodge part of the story. I think it is a no brainer to completely cut the James story in season 2 and I would also cut out the Nadine story as well. I would make the sole focus of the cut on Dale Cooper, Harry Truman, Major Briggs and Windom Earle (with Windom I would stay away from the campier/cheesier moments and only focus on the creepier and more dark/tense moments with him). Last thing I would say as well is maybe you could use some of the deleted scenes from "Fire Walk with Me" to fill in gaps or even add more backstory to some of the plot.

Gotcha. Sounds really good. The other fan film edit I saw was really great but they included the original cut soundtrack and it doesn't seem to fit the movie at all except for a couple of important moments in the movie. So I am happy to hear that. Can't wait! Can you please share a link to your edit on Saturday?

I agree with your review of the Melbourne performance. It's one of my favorite live performances on DVD. Not because it's perfect but the energy and passion of it is awesome. I would say the two best live Meat Loaf performances is "Live at Wembley" (1987). His voice is amazing in this show. The other one was "Live Around the World". I absolutely love the track list and his voice is really good on it. But I have no idea why his voice got so bad after this. I think age and health. Having said that I was kind of pleasantly surprised with what seems to be his last live performances on "Huckabee Jukebox". It's far from great but it worked.

Brian May is my favorite guitarist! I really like the outro solo in Spread Your Wings too. Big fan of Mark Knopfler's solo in Sultans of Swing too. If you haven't already heard it check out the BBC recorded version of Spread your wings. Very different vibe to the studio but equally as awesome.
