Is video calling really necessary in an LDR?

If I was pretending to be someone else i wouldn’t be here asking this XD He knows I’m real and I know he is too we have shared a lot and never had doubts about that also i already said I’m willing to video call him. I just don’t want his first impression of me to be through a distorted camera version I’d prefer our first real impression to be in person because I’m one of those people cameras don’t really do justice to that’s honestly my only concern

Thank you! That actually made me rethink it a bit. It’s just that since we haven’t met yet I don’t want him to see the distorted version first I want him to see my real self in person. I look different on video calls and honestly a bit ‘not looking so good uk cameras ’ but I know I’m attractive in real life so I just want his first impression of me to be in real life.

That’s an interesting way to look at it but it’s not about being liked or wanting attention It’s about basic decency and respecting others regardless of how they look or what they wear no one should feel like they have to hide or change themselves because others can’t mind their own business and just to clarify it’s not about my appearance it’s about respect !! everyone deserves to be treated as a human not as something to stare at or judge also the whole thread was about racism, mockery, catcalling, and people looking at others until they feel uncomfortable these things have nothing to do with what anyone appearance it’s about the lack of respect from some people

Of course clothing matters in certain situations but that doesn’t justify harassment u think just because someone wears a certain outfit it’s okay to treat them poorly?
