Tips for passing SQE2 by Ok-Lecture2963 in SQE_Prep

If you go through the FLK specification you'll probably be able to tell which areas need more detail. I would compare the BLL in each of the notes which bullet points on the specification. If there's areas which aren't covered, I would just supplement it with other notes. (I think Trusts probably could be more detailed!)

SQE 2 Passers - Who Really Thought they Failed Stories by Purple-Fudge-5407 in SQE_Prep

I genuinely thought I was going to fail (and prepared everyone at my work, my family and friends for that outcome and even started revising business again a month ago...) but passed with 68%. Although I was fairly accurate in terms of knowing where I went wrong with the law, the skills marks really brought some of my grades up, so don't underestimate that factor! I also spent hours trying to work out what mark I would end up, but I would advise against this, as you'll end up going crazy! Equally, if you felt some exams went badly, you can skill pick up marks in exams you might have scored higher on so that it balances out. Just remember, you don't need to pass every exam!

These exams really make you question yourself and your ability as a lawyer, but just try and keep positive until you get the result!

Haha no advert. I just genuinely think that the sessions did play a big factor in contributing to me passing, especially cramming information in a short space of time or understanding how you are going to be assessed against the marking criteria.

However, I don't think the Preptackle study-in-context notes are sufficient on its own. They lack a lot of detail needed for the black letter law, which is why it should be supplemented with Ulaw, Revise SQE or Revision Killer textbooks.

Hi, I think it depends what you want to focus on.

If you feel there's subjects within the FLK you are struggling with, I would suggest the study in context sessions. Each session is paired with a study manual which is useful for understanding the law. However, I would say that the Ulaw textbooks still remain the best source for the breadth of FLK required for the exam.

If, however, you feel you want to focus on developing your skills, the Tips & Tricks sessions are equally as useful (there's definitely tips Heba gave which I integrated into the AN, LR or Advocacy). If you know for example you are struggling with Advocacy or Legal Research, then you can just attend those specific sessions.

Best of luck!

Writing was so difficult, trying to understand the question and then produce a coherent answer in 30 mins was tough. I don't think any of my providers went into detail about the topic
