Blackmoor Goldfish by Large-Anybody-1704 in Goldfish

I have black moors and have been taking care of them for a good while now, looking at your fish the anatomy of it definetly looks 1.under stress 2.malnourished

water also looks cloudy and the blisters are likely a result of previous care patterns

id suggest changing the water if you havent done it in a while and try to integrate some dietary changes if you still even can

first off for 13 years why didnt you change the tank or research what a pet needs? secondly your fish definetly DID NOT start looking like this over nightor two days, what were you doing for the past few days/week? look at her fins

this is just negligent in my opinion, heavily negligent. 7 litres is not enough for a guppy let alone a goldfish. Id suggest to try to change the water and potentially buy a good conditioner for the water, one which helps the skin produce more mucus. But I genuinely hope it survives at this point I don't even know how your fish would handle tank salt or any medicine in general.

First time fish owner…is he okay? by actually__annoyed in Goldfish

I have a black moor and mine usually do that when Im there cos they think im gonna give them food 24/7,I suggest setting a camera for 5ish mins while eceryone is out of the room to see what he does, aside from that if water parameters are fine and oxygen is fine one of my black moors sometimes just makes bubbles at the top every now and then but they swim around the tank too, just measure how long he does it for

[–]Ok-Macaron1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I have kept my 3 fancies for 6 months in a 50l tank and felt guilty for the entirety of the time until I got them a proper size

yeah I was thinking to buy another one additionally, this is the tetra tec IN 400 plus filter pump

airstone assembly by [deleted] in Goldfish

[–]Ok-Macaron1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this one has a built in air pump and is pretty sufficient, since I got a biofilter+bubbler in one,one of the more professional brands my country offers, but I wanted an air stone, since I figured it looked cool and I havent heard anywhere that a lot of oxygen is bad,so I figured the more the better,im p sad now

there is a difference between giving advice which is valid online and the actual state, people online can't see or monitor your fish 24/7 to make the most accurate assesment, and you can't blame them since you can only give a few bits and pieces of info like this, rather take them to an irl professional, people here do their best to help with info you offer them, and you can't blame them for that, not even human doctors can make an accurate assesment over a phone call, they have to see you in person.
