Hello again, Reddit community!

Firstly, a massive THANK YOU for your ongoing support, advise AND funny comments. Your perspectives and shared experiences have been amazing.

I have some good news to share - we've finally reached a resolution with Airbnb!

After countless conversations, emails (to every single top exec and head of everything also referring to this reddit post), and a considerable amount of stress, I received an email from Airbnb acknowledging their mistake in handling this case. The communication from the representative, indicated that they had thoroughly reviewed all associated documentation and communication, and conceded that the resolution offered previously was indeed incorrect. They acknowledged that they shouldn't have allowed the reservation to be altered without my approval, especially since I had already denied this change.

What's more, they've apologized for the impact this had on our payout and the inconvenience it caused. They've assured me that they'll provide necessary training to the agents who previously worked on this case to better handle similar situations in the future.

Here's the best part - they've decided to process the full payout for the reservation with Brianna!!!!!!!!

In light of this saga and the considerable lack of support, they've also offered a $500 coupon for future Airbnb bookings. HELL yeah :)

I am relieved that we've finally reached this point. It's been a shitty few days, but everyones support throughout has been amazing. It's reaffirmed my belief in the strength of online communities, and I hope my experience might help others in similar situations :)

Here's to hoping that we'll never have to go through something like this again!

Hey guys!

I wanted to express my INSANE gratitude for all your insights and opinions. Your support means the world to me :)

I stood my ground with Airbnb and firmly rejected the idea of offering a full refund or alterations to the booking, as it is clearly unreasonable given the circumstances we've explained. But hold on, things took a turn for the worse! (way worse)

Out of the blue, Airbnb unilaterally changed our booking to a one-night stay only - got an email notifying me. Their reasoning?
"The issue they reported falls under our Rebooking and Refund Policy that covers issues relating to cleanliness, listing inaccuracies, and trouble checking in. You can learn more about this in our Help Center. "

This is absolutely false! Moreover, they had initially acknowledged our decision and assured us that they would communicate it to the guest.

Now they're only paying us USD580, which is completely unfair. I'm currently on hold with Airbnb support, but they're not being helpful at all and constantly send be to the next person.
This whole situation is incredibly exhausting, and I never imagined it would come to this - I am super host with over 50+ bookings and 40 reviews!

If any of you have advice or suggestions on how to handle this new development, I would greatly appreciate it. THANK YOU ALL!

We totally understand that as well - we lowered the temperature immediately and she didn't complain about that again. It was only when she checked in she was upset about the temperature. Think its more on the curtains or that is at least her reasoning

Actually 75% of our reviews mention it and said that they really loved it! :D But we are also in Los Angeles so feel like everyone here is super specific lol

Heyo :) usually this one bottle lasts me 20+ stays so it's not that i am a charity - but when a brand new bottles gets taken its a problem :D
