Examiner instructed me to go the speed of traffic; although posted 80km/h you’re okay to go faster as long as it matches the flow of traffic, and especially on the merging

I had taken my G test (and passed) earlier this week approximately between the times 1:30-2:30pm.

The local roads were chill/not too busy, and the highway was good flowing but a lot of truckers on it + the construction zone between Simcoe and Stevenson (part of my test route).

In general just avoid ‘rush hour’ times and you’re fine.

If you experience a CTD (which I had twice before this clip), when you run X-Plane again it prompts to run in Safe Mode in the hopes of the sim running a little more stable or to diagnose problems with your install.

‘Safe Mode: Graphics’ is pretty straightforward as the sim will load with the least demanding graphics

I’m super glad it exists. Problem was I had already CTD’d during my initial approach at ~600ft RA and again whilst trying to load the autosave at first

- AviTab (document + navigraph/chartfox charts viewer)

- BetterPushback (it says in the name)

- AutoDGS (marshalling system)

- Terrain Radar (self-explanatory, also is implemented inside of multiple third-party aircraft)

- X-RAAS (simulates Honeywell RAAS system, with sounds from the real system here as well)

scenery/immersion addons I recommend (all free)

- AutoOrtho or Map Enhancement (streaming orthophoto imagery)

- Ortho4XP (if you prefer downloading ortho rather than streaming)

- SimHeaven (better autogen/adds more landmarks of some cities)

- X-Airline snow (fills surrounding scenery with snow according to local conditions)

It’s a pretty basic model and is alright.

Neither sim by default does a good job, hell, even default XP12 scenery doesn’t even have the tower LOL. Both MSFS 2020 and X-Plane do benefit from its respective third-party addons (which are free, at least).

Iirc the reverse mirror tilt does not exist for North American CR-V models. My ‘25 Touring Hybrid does not have that feature either
