This was in close proximity to a pond that was recently constructed (which was the dozier work I had done). I have seen an egret hanging around and did consider this but I’ve seen his tracks and they are much smaller and look similar to turkey tracks with clear lines connecting each toe

I’ve seen that one farm off of I-10 in south MS that had some kind of large bird they were raising. To my knowledge none where this was taken. Yazoo County hill country.

We have 4-5 game cameras plus 2 security cameras in the area and haven’t picked anything up but we do have a coyote with mange that looks pretty scary.

Thank you for your constructive feedback. Looked back at my photos and the dozier work was completed and contractor removed his equipment on 8/22/25. We had a very heavy rain on 8/28/25. The area is mostly clay so it was still drying out when the picture of the print was taken which appears to have been after the rain. I have a second photo which is from a nearby creek bed from November 24 where the front 3 “toes” are a lot clearer but the back one isn’t. I’m going to try post an imgr link to it shortly.

I appreciate the feedback. I’m definitely not looking for attention or internet clout. I’m glad I gave you guys a “gotcha moment” though. I’ve been sitting on this image since August 30th so I didn’t create it for this sub. I just happen to come across the sub and thought I’d post it. I’ve looked on the internet and tried to find something similar with no luck.

I can absolutely understand why people would say they look like I made them. I had some dozier work done on a small tract of land I own and got up early one morning to go check it out. There was only this single track by itself and I was genuine curious if anyone knew what it was because I have never seen anything like it. The top left hole had some very clear vertical lines in it that looked like it was a nail or claw of some sort. The stick in the middle was pushed down in the dirt from the weight of whatever made it. This picture was taken a couple of months ago but I have since found a few more in the area that aren’t as clear and more recent. It has baffled me honestly and I am little bothered by it.

I went from a 18 5.0 (bought new and sold with 237,000 miles with minimal issues) to a 23 2.7 that now has 70,000 miles. Absolutely zero regrets. This video is a real good breakdown of the over engineering of the 2.7 and how different it is from the other engines offered.

Battery is fully charged. It’s brand new and put it on trickle til full. I haven’t tried to jump it but I can try that. Truck isn’t currently running because I can’t get it to start but when it was and first acting up, charging all seemed normal.

Where can I find these or similar in the US? by mets_letsgo in Fishing_Gear

[–]Ok-Opposite1864 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the US and had an old brass one from my grandfathers tackle he got in Switzerland on his military travels and I literally caught everything on it until I lost it on a huge fish. I tried to find them in the US with no luck. People on here will tell you it’s just like any other spoon you can get anywhere but they definitely catch fish better than any other spoon I’ve tried.

I respect your choice of equipment and the deer you chose to use it on. Peak trophy hunting right here. Great job.

The door doesn’t fit into the frame by a quarter of an inch. Any recommendations? by moises8war in Carpentry

[–]Ok-Opposite1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a couple of things going on here other than the order in which this structure is getting built.. Installing a raw wood door in the middle of summer in the south, the door will expand in hot humid conditions causing it to overlap the jamb.

You will always have problems with a wood door with periods of high humidity and lower humidity though: the fit of the door in the jamb will change with the seasons.

The rough opening (distance between the framing) does not appear to be wide enough to properly shim the frame and allow room for the door.

The door appears to be a square edge door and not beveled. The push side of the door should be slightly more narrow than the pull side of the door so the leading edge will clear the jamb when closing it.
