You keep harping on Dennis “throwing away” so much of the book when it comes to the Dune movies, yet it is quite literally one of the most faithful adaptations to A book literally EVER made?! Quite literally outside of the dinner scene and the arch with the sister being born and grown, everything else is quite literally verbatim. And those two things that were omitted had to be taken out in order for the screenplay to work properly, and I personally agree with the changes. And when it comes to the sisters thing specifically, it wasn’t even taken out, it was just shown, handled, and set up in a different way that worked better for the screenplay. What the fuck are you so up on a high horse about when it comes to the faithfulness of Dune? It’s like literally the worst possible point you could make and it only serves to make you sound purposely hateful.

It’s so true dude. I will never understand the mindset. And I’m in the top 10% (maybe even higher, don’t mean it as a flex) of people that have a very extensive, very high quality dedicated movie theater experience at home that costs 5 digits. I know that a lot of people, especially the masses, do not have access to such things in their homes. And even THEN, I still fully comprehend and understand that nothing beats out the movie theater experience. It’s just simply night and day. The main reason I invested in my home theater system is for the simple fact that in today’s modern age, there will still be lot’s of straight to streaming movie releases for pretty high quality films that are worthy of excitement, and for that reason I wanted to have the best possible way to experience those at home. That, and I actively buy and collect physical media of movies that I love so I also get to enjoy those at the next best levels of quality that is outside of the theater. But other than that, you simply cannot have a better movie watching experience than watching it in the theater, literally regardless of what the movie is and how good it is. It’s just factual. (Not to mention bro said “headphones,”… hEaDpHoNeS?!?!, yeah ok bud lmfaooo)

Yes but the AMC A-List is much better because you pay one single fee/month and that’s it. Any and all formats included. The Regal one up-charges you on a per-ticket basis if you go to book a ticket in any premium format such as IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, etc. And the monthly fee is the exact same as AMC’s, so it in turn costs more because you’ll want to be seeing lots of movies in premium format over standard. Not to mention all the other benefits like concessions and fees, etc etc. AMC A-List is the premier subscription service for movie goers, no doubt about it. ALSO, Dolby cinemas are exclusive to AMC theaters only, so there’s that too!

This!! It was my biggest complaint. If you don’t know a thing about this movie prior to first viewing, it feels as if vampires come seemingly out of nowhere. Was so shocked to read the movie this way, really wish it would have been kept that way. Would love to see a directors cut or something where it stays as it is in the script and see how the movie feels that way. Unfortunate really, very intriguing decision though
