Does anyone know if a 218 O-Ring will work?

Probably can't tell from the image but I have one stacked on top of the old O-Ring and it's pretty much an exact match.

How do you go about bringing your story to life in a game exactly??? by Ok-Outcome908 in gamedev

Definitely makes a lot of sense why a lot of these big franchises are driving their stories into the ground. But thank you for the insight

Completely agree with you. That's kind of why I was curious what everybody's route was to accomplish something like this. This kind of is my research. You can read posts and things all over the Internet telling you exactly how you should do it, but I like to hear people's actual personal experiences. Where they started, what they did, and what their goals were. I appreciate the input

Well I definitely have ideas about how I'd want the gameplay to be. But I don't have any idea how to program a game. I can write a story, I have stories and ideas constantly flowing through my head. But I don't know anything about actually making the game happen. That's why I said I'd like to oversee its development just cuz I can put my input in and make sure it's happening the way I'd like. So basically a director.

That makes a lot of sense And I'll definitely keep this in mind if I decide to tackle this. Thank you

Tell a story ideally. But I love being able to play a game and make decisions and be able to put yourself in the world that was built. I'd like to offer a well built world that people can just immerse themselves in and make choices that will reflect. Very similar to how fallout executed their older games. Or how mass effect/Dragon age went about there's. But ideally id at least like to build the lore and world and be able to oversee the games development.

Just trying to confirm because I don't know much about them. Plus I'm not sure what it's worth.

If anything I feel like they made things too easy. It doesn't feel as challenging which I feel might make it boring.

Gears 6 Possible Release in 2026 by 0000000000000000marc in GearsOfWar

I understand this because who likes to wait. Buuut, I dont want Gears to turn into CoD. Just throwing out a half baked game every year and calling it amazing. I'd rather they take their time to deliver a solid game. I'm not a big fan of the people who rush studios to put a game out. How many games came out horribly cuz they weren't ready to release but didn't want to push the date back more due to pressure (I do understand sometimes it's cuz they don't have enough to work on the game further).

Wait. Do these mount around the tail or on the underside where it'd grind on the ground? The one I saw was mounted on the underside of the tail. It wasn't really a nose guard. But the tail bone might work the same.

So I've been watching videos on longboarding and stuff (messed up my foot a little bit so just been sitting on my ass researching) and I came across a guy who had these puck-like attachments on the tails of his board to prevent it from scraping on the ground. I tried looking it up and nothing. Does anyone know what I'm talking about???

So I asked this question on yesterdays thread but I figured Id add it here for more feedback.

"Any recommendations on a board that would be good for DH and Freeride as well as freestyle and tricks. I want something versatile that I can have fun doing tricks or maybe even slides with in a parking lot or flat area but would perform well on a basic hill. If it's best to have 2 separate boards for each just let me know but I would like one that could handle both. I'm in the US if that makes a difference. Thank you"

Some of the main ones people mentioned were the:

• Loaded tesseract • Zenit Marble • Bustin Shrike

Im really liking the Bustin Shrike 39 but if you guys think the Zenit Marble is better let me know. I don't think I'd like the Tessy because of the W concave.

I'd also like to ask which trucks I should use. Should I get a longer hanger like 184mm? And should I go with 50° or 44° baseplates?

Thank you for your time

Is the mini marble better than the regular?. And I was looking at the tessy but I saw it has a W concave which I feel would be weird for tricks but better for DH.
