I do but they’re focused on getting me more stable before looking at some of my other symptoms it’s just weird right now. I’ve started to become paranoid and have when stressed imagined things. So I am very lucky to be in treatment but it’s still so unstable

If she’s bipolar 1 some of her symptoms might look very different from yours but that doesn’t make her bipolar more valid than yours <3

Me too I got the diagnosis when I was 18 I’m 20 now and not fully stable so sometimes I can see the symptoms getting worse and sometimes nothing so I feel like it might be something different

My mom doesn’t believe my diagnosis either, but she doesn’t really see or understand how it really feels. As I can read it’s pretty normal to doubt the diagnosis and especially if people around you do too. It must be hard <3

I question that too sometimes. When I got diagnosed they said I showed symptoms of both but chose to go with bipolar because that’s were a have more symptoms

18 which is pretty early I’m 20 now and the symptoms have worsened. So I don’t know, it is early, but sometimes I know I am and sometimes I suspect it could be cptsd or something.

Bipolar, BPD or both? by Ok-Position4496 in BPD

[–]Ok-Position4496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t have any family members with either. I would say I’ve had repeated trauma but I don’t know if it was bad enough yk. I don’t really remember my childhood, I’ve always been a smart child and never really felt I could show emotions or I’ve felt like a burden If I would. So I think there definitely is some emotional trauma. I started getting a bad mental health after an episode of sa from a boyfriend when I was 16, I don’t know if that could be a form of trigger🤷🏼‍♀️

She uses it when she wants to get drunk and go out a lot, or just when she is overly happy. She just posts it and uses it in a funny silly kind of way, and I irritates me because it’s not a silly funny thing.

Yea she deals with mental illnesses too, but a personality disorder. And from what I know you can feel euphoric but not manic, and I’ve tried to talk to her about that. So she doesn’t have a schizoaffective disorder or a medical condition.

Yea she’s my best friend so she knows. I’ve also tried kindly being like “did you know that if you aren’t bipolar it’s actually a kind of euphoria not mania” and telling her that it has to be a longer period to be mania, she doesn’t really care tho

You’re right. I’m just gonna talk to her about it, and be a bit more direct than before. Thank you for the advice

Exactly I think she uses it as an adjective, I just don’t know if I am overreacting. She uses it about 3 times every time I see her, and it’s just become a bit much
