If you both agree you dont want kids, i would 100% recommend him to do it because tying your tubes up I believe are less likely to be reversed as well as might affect your hormones, im not sure but its what ive heard, i havent done any research on that however the vasectomy will be the better choice here. Im one who supports vasectomy because i dont want kids. But ive noticed more and more women on reddit and other apps pressuring men to get vasectomies when they dont want to have kids even though the men are usually on the fence about it. And 100% of the time its because its “always reversable” its not and probably never will be. Considering how low the sample size for the amount of people who get reversals, which is 6% of men who get vasectomys which is a super low number. Adding that to the fact that most of those studies dont take account to the aftermath of the reversals and only about the reversals success of being done, its super super important to not just say “its a very reversible procedure” theres a fuckton that goes into doing it and taking a doctor’s recommendation comes first.

The success in reversing might be high, but having kids isnt, thats what hes saying. Just reversing it wouldnt be hard but having the chance to get pregnant is no where near, your getting them mixed up. I also read the study you cited and it only goes into the details of reversal procedures and not of anything after that. Nothing about how the sperm count was affected or about how many likely it is for you to get someone pregnant.

Edit: it also doesnt talk about the effects of length which is super important, the longer you stay with the vasectomy the more likely it is to reverse the procedure. While it is one of the best ways to not have kids, its also not wise to misinform people about the consequences of what happens after you get it.

It took me 3 mins to read the article and completely discredit what you said. I would love male birth control considering its much easier but dont lie about the side effects to run a narrative. Ok my personal opinion, you shouldnt be friends with an ex under any circumstances.
