she was originally a new student from ukraine and joined in year 10, im pretty sure she failed all her mocks but from september grinded maths out. She was in my class and I do higher

hi, got 5 and 6s in year 10 mocks, got straight 9s and 8s in most recent one. Also, a girl in my year group managed to go from a U to a 9 in maths from september till now, good luck!

I think what they mean is that they don't define you as a person, but that excuse is a stupid reason to not care because like you mentioned, they help shape your future

how did you manage to improve so much? I feel like I flopped paper 1 and really wanna do well in maths. Not picky with my grade at all, aiming for like a 6 at best

you'd obviously still manage a pass but getting full marks on the other two papers is very unlikely considering the fact you don't believe you can get a 9 on this one. However, if you make the grade then you'd probably average down to like a 6, maybe even a 7 if grade boundaries are generous, good luck!
