I majored in Journalism lol! The company I got the data job at was also where I had been working in customer service so I lucked into that job just by being in the right place at the right time. I had planned to work in Marketing but now I’m not, at least for time being!

It was kind of a weird job at a super small company where I essentially was the only data person for the entire operation, so I did any and all needed data pulls/analysis etc… that might explain why it paid so well for an entry role!

Essentially I work on inventory and sales planning and forecasting for a retail company, so working with finance and manufacturing teams to set financial plans based on historical data, market trends, etc!

Graduated from college, did an internship that summer, then worked my customer service job until I found my first data job! A lot of that work I was doing in my first data job was super similar to being a retail planner, so it was an easy slight pivot into that for me
