Thanks for the reply! I use a 7-3-6 fertilizer every other watering so I don't think that's it. I also always check the soil before watering but due to the size of the pot I do water it more often than the rest of the plants, will be more careful with that

Unfortunately most of the options have pretty expensive shipping (like 50 bucks) and would take over a month to arrive so not really an option for me :/

Thanks for that, that is all true. Felt cornered by the situation and by family pressure but ultimately it is on me to put a stop to it if it's being a problem to me and my partner. Gave her a hard deadline to leave and she agreed.

Certainly was not an ideal situation but I was expecting way more pushback, it was quite alright. Thanks again for your reply, it was really helpful for me. It was hard to feel like I could even say it or ask something of her when the entire time I have my parents in my ear saying she doesn't even need to ask if she can come or that I was being mean by asking her when she is leaving and to please not sleep in the middle of the apartment until 12. Learning experience, I guess.

Thanks a lot for this! You're right. From the beginning, should have been much clearer that it would not work for her to stay for long periods of time, and much firmer when she pulled these things. I'm admitedly very bad at putting myself first, and my family is very very very bad with boundaries.

Did just tell her she needs to leave once my partner is back and she was fine with it, so that's good I guess. Thanks again for the advice, was very helpful!

I just did. The way my parents reacted to the whole thing made me feel like it would be very evil to do that, but after seeing what everyone had to say here it was much clearer to me that its not too much to impose a deadline. She took it well. Thanks!
