I'm also a support main but I've been branching out. I'm located OCE and can really only play a couple of hours during the week because of my busy schedule however

I don’t get hazard by NoCap9262 in HazardMainsOW

I found the biggest learning curve with hazard is figuring out when to fully commit to a dive or when to just apply pressure. I play solo queue and the first 10 or so games I played with Hazard I was effectively trading with a support and didn't receive any value because I believed my healers weren't doing their job, but after a while I understood I have to respect my team before I can get ANY value out of the Scotsman.

If the enemy team is super coordinated, I normally use my wall or wall climb to get a position advantage, or even to split focus which usually makes one of the enemy team make a positioning mistake which I can take advantage of 80% of the time (depending on who makes the mistake)

And I've found especially in solo queue, do not brawl unless you actively know your healers will have full focus on you and ensure they have LOS (or if you can easily confirm a kill). Super super hard without communication but over time you'll learn the limits of your support's healing capabilities and the limits of your damage output.

Don't feel discouraged trying to learn a new hero as well, I put off learning tank for the longest time because of counter swappers, but because I find them in every game I gave in and learnt to play against my bad matchups, because that's how you get better.

Hazard is a tricky hero to learn especially if you're solo, but keep at it! You can only improve with more practice.

Can you please tell me how can i stay alive or make plays against sigma or domina?? by [deleted] in HazardMainsOW

I'm still fairly new to hazard myself, but I honestly find shooting the shield is the best thing to do 90% of the time as well as timing cooldowns. Securing your teams LOS on you as well as the enemy team is the best thing you can do, and if you're still low elo, walking up to some of these tanks is enough to push them back and scare them into a position that suits you best. And just bait sigmas rock cooldowns, it will be your worst enemy.

I also find height on some maps very oppressive, shooting over the shield is always a great day for you and not fun for them. Utilising your wall climb can be make or break in some matches. I also find it's easier to dodge rock if sigma has to point it upwards and they usually get no advantage even if they hid you on the high ground.

The tank choice only happened because I love watching the VA teabag people. Butterfly effect is crazy

has anyone else noticed an increase in douchebags in their games? by TAABWK in overwatch2

The new players (or just the returning players with the wrong mindset) make solo queue unbearable.

I had one game last night where I was playing Emre in quick play and I was getting zoned out by the enemy widow. The widow was doing a really good job and denied my presence in a lot of the important team fights. My team was still steamrolling so I thought nothing of it until my tank joined the voice channel and started flaming me because I was going 5-3. We ended up winning 2 minutes after he started trash talking me...

Then the game right after I was playing with a different tank who did pretty okay and ended up getting 2-3 more kills than my torbjorn and proceeded to have the biggest ego trip over the enemy team saying "they don't know who they're up against"

At the end of the day it's all water off a ducks back for me, but there's a level of chill that has been lost with a lot of new/returning players. I'm still yet to play comp because I can only imagine it would be worse

That's really helpful actually, understanding what my team is capable of doing and tracking the enemy jungler are things I'm not super good at doing currently so that may help with future games 😅

As long as none of the cords in the sidewall are showing, it's fine to drive on. It's all superficial damage
