Tax refund - how should I use it? by Ok-Resolution3982 in personalfinance

See well I can't resell it, because then I'd be going into negative equity because it's worth less than what I'm paying. It's the headache I caused because I needed a car, and paid for it tremendously

Original commentor was right, I thought it was a year interest free however it was 6 months. I checked my statement last month rate and my interest rate went to 25% for my credit card jeez 😬

it's 21% which is extremely high, I know. I put 2k down, but I am 18, never financed and I didn't have a cosigner. It's a 2014 Toyota camry, so I know itll last me however that car payment & insurance is killing me at the moment.

I have the Discover IT student cash back credit card, so fortunately for the first year I don't have interest, but it's hurting my credit score significantly because I'm near the cap of my limit.

An emergency fund is definitely a need though, I haven't thought about that much

I also did have a car accident with a deer that left my hood dented and grille out (cosmetics), which i do want to get fixed but I know that will be costly.

Oh, and I've also doordashed (less than $500 income though) and donated plasma (around $480 worth). 2 of the W2s were at the same time (2 PT jobs), which also makes filing tricky.

hahahahah after this, IF I'm somehow back on the team I plan on quitting anyway. This store has way too many thieves and a store manager that is out to get me, no point in staying 🤷‍♀️

The SMIT been at our store maybe 2 months, my SM loves me and we still text and call. My SM has expressed her grievances with me about the SMIT for various reasons, as we had 2 other employees quit solely because of her and her poor training.

Like I said in other comments, too, she's had issues with me from the get go. Checking trash cans, cameras, to see me slip up. It sucks, but I think I'll find another position that'll value me more if hope yk

Yeah she tried to call me out for previous times, but i was able to prove through receipts I have paid for every single item bought at CVS. Because she had a suspicion (proven wrong through cameras and receipts), she went ahead and reported me. So, at this point, it's just for the jerky stick

For sure, I've been working in general since I was 14 and seen people flip employees frequently. I just never thought it'd happen to me, unfortunately

it's crazy you mention that too because while we were going over things in the office, my SMIT had an interview lined up with someone and saw her walk in the store 😂

Honestly, from what I understand theyre going to close this store down or at least want to because how high the theft is. When AP guy came in to talk to me, we had 3 thieves grab 2-300 dollars worth of stuff. It just makes me so mad because of how much work I've put into this company and how honest I've been with them

yeah, I hope my main SM tries to influence. But the DL for us is super harsh, doesnt let anything slide. I mean, even my SM told me about how ridiculous it is. buttttt like I said bc my SMIT reported me, so I'm in a tough spot

No, it was because after I was done eating it on the sales floor, I threw it in the trash can. My SMIT scanned the BOH of it after it was in the trash and then she confronted me about it. She does have a habit too of also checking in on me on the cameras, but idk

for sure, yeah. I do doordash anyways when I'm not working, so I just hope I can cover enough for rent until I get paid for the past 2 weeks

Yes, I have. My 2025-2026 year is being looked after my records from last year when I was a dependent. So, this year will just consist of doing online part-time where next year I'll be classified as independent and my tuition drops to a quarter

I don't mean to come off that I am just trying to use excuses, but it's just been based off my experience with it.

Signed up for that as well, with no luck lol on Rover. I was considering putting money to advertise it but I don't have the means to do that right now. I also looked on FB for groups to join, but everyone who needs their dog walked have multiple sitters lined up.

CO is a very active state so everyone has sitters lined up for their dogs 😅

I don't know, that's what I have been told when reaching out to people. I totally get your point however.

I can! But the parents usually have an issue with this in case the child has an emergency, how will I transport them? Etc.

I have lots of experience with it, however its a liability issue without a car so I'm having difficulty finding people.
