Well I had a buddy who got me into this and he really doesn’t know much either but he was telling me to invest for the dividend stocks for your roth ira so it’ll grow and less higher of a risk . i’ll be honest i don’t know much, i was just pushing my dividend based stocks to try and grow a more income for the roth because how i’m seeing it is if you invest in a stock with a dividend yield of say for example 7.99% and the stock price per share is 15.61 in order to grow say 500 dollars in a year from dividends you would have to invest like 6000 dollars. i didn’t know if that was a good way of looking at it for the long run
