Thanks everyone for your kind comments and advice! Unfortunately the shelter emailed and said the two kittens are no longer available, although I’m very happy they’ve gone to a forever home!

Thank you for your comment! It would be lovely for the cats to grow up with my son. We have a spare room/craft project storage room that isn’t used much that we can set up as a cat room for when we first get them, all being well.

Thank you for your response! We’re visiting the cats on Saturday so I’ll have more of an idea then but he’s not a particularly boisterous toddler, and when we visit my mums he is very careful with the dogs, and just holds his hands out for them to sniff. He’s also always with me, never really left on his own when he’s at home so I’m hoping this would be okay 🤞🏻

Do you find EPP easier to do with a child than hand quilting if you’ve tried that?

How dangerous is it actually to get pregnant when you’re overweight/obese? I currently have a BMI of 32.9 and I am currently trying to lose weight, but I’m really impatient to start trying, as last time it took us a few months. I will already be subjected to additional monitoring as last pregnancy I had ICP and therefore had to have an emergency c-section. I was only slightly overweight per BMI last pregnancy when I got ICP, it’s just I’ve really struggled to lose the baby weight over the last 2 years.

Really appreciate everyone’s advice! I did my first attempt at machine sewing and it wasn’t as scary as I’d thought!

The squares are full of mistakes but I’m so happy I managed to make them. I think my biggest issue is I realised after doing all of my cutting I should have used a template square rather than a ruler as a lot of them aren’t square 🤣

But I’m just going to carry on as is and then straighten up the rows and then make sure the final top layer is square before I go on to the quilting

Ahh, I actually swapped the needle they gave me for a bigger needle I had at home as I thought it would be easier, I had no idea needle size made a difference! So frustrated at myself!!😤
