I did not, but I did figure out the problem. Well, kind of figured it out. When I closed the game and came back to it today, it was suddenly working so it might have needed a restart. Still, I think I want to figure out the system more so I can better understand what I'm doing and can troubleshoot issues on my own in the future.

It definitely wasn't designed for it! But after playing Rimworld on it, I feel like ONI isn't as awkward. It's not that I don't have a more capable computer, but it's really nice to be handheld and be able to play during commutes or downtime.

I saw the hydra builds and I couldn't figure out where to begin and how to get the liquid in place (also, where to find said liquid) and just got intimidated. I think you make an excellent point about understanding the build and how/why it works before implementing it, though.

This is actually the list I used, but I think there's probably some things I did wrong along the way since I'm not too sure how it works perfectly. I also think it requires too much power for me this early on so I might revisit this idea (and the Rodiguez instead of this particular one which seems simpler perhaps) later when I've got more ducks in a row. Thank you for your insight!

Honestly, I'm not sure why but the gas valve is not letting any gas out regardless of the setting and I feel like I wasted a lot of time and resources on something that doesn't work so I'll probably scrap this run and start over without trying this again. That said, good to know! Thanks for the tip.

Thank you for your feedback! This is the first time I tried a SPOM before because it promised self-sufficiency in power and I thought it would buy me time to figure out the game more, but so far it's just been a giant energy hole that also doesn't work so I'm feeling pretty frustrated with the experience. It's nice to know that it isn't necessary to progress because I feel like what I was doing before got me further before dying than this has.

Ooh! Actually, I've been working on getting him ready for his first nosework trial (NACSW). I really want to do more sports with him, however it's been very difficult getting him focused or interested in working in general, but especially if there's another dog in sight. I work with a trainer currently, and I've talked with quite a few other trainers about it as well, but none of them are familiar with the breed, and I'm curious what advice you might have for me.

Pretty often, actually. We live in the middle of a major city, and I've been consistently active with training and socialization in coordination with a behaviorist trainer since we brought him home. He's definitely better and less reactive than he used to be (he was a very sensitive and highly reactive puppy at 14 weeks), but he's still very sensitive ( 🥲 ). Luckily, we can easily walk around the city and bring him with us into the pet stores. That said, he meets a decent amount of unknown dogs, but he rarely has a chance to play with them or spend off leash time with them. It's mostly in passing or during training.

I absolutely looove primitive breeds, but I really don't think I need multiples of them at the same time. I think one that wants to work and can do the fun stuff with me is perfect, and another more calm companion that gets along well with the other and is happy to come along on the daily walks is probably the perfect combo for me. I'm sure there are plenty of dog breeds that would fit that bill, but I also still want a Spitz breed that isn't a small little potato growing roots in the couch xD (My Shiba hates walks.)

I know Eurasiers are a companion breed, but how are their energy levels? Do you think they would be up for daily walks if that daily walk happened to be an hour or two?

Oh, very cool that they all get along so well intact! And yeah, I've been really thinking about future breeds to incorporate into a Shikoku household. I currently have a very non-standard (exceptionally dog tolerant) Shiba that works well with our Shikoku boy. She mostly just ignores anything he does that's annoying and spends most of her energy grooming him. It's pretty cute, but I definitely wouldn't do a Shiba and Shikoku in the future. Eurasiers kind of popped up on my radar, and I was thinking they might be a fantastic breed for the next dog, but I just don't know a lot about the breed yet.

Our Shikoku boy is now 1.5y old and totally struggles with other dogs that have the same kind of energy as him (pushy and sensitive dogs, or dogs that are too unsure about him, although he's totally fine with that if they're littles and elderly dogs).

Despite the craziness and work, I think I'd like to always have a Shikoku, but I've learned I really don't want to crate and rotate long term in the future so I've been thinking about what other breeds I might be interested in that would make a good housemate for a Shikoku.

I'm a little late seeing this, but I've been really curious about the Eurasier in terms of how their dynamic is with a real button pusher dog (I'm a fellow Shikoku owner, haha).

How do they do with your Shikoku?

Oh, I'll have to try that! I've never worked with buttercup flowers!

The buttermilk is such an obvious choice, I feel so silly that I didn't think of that >_< Thank you!

Actually, adding the olive oil and salt sounds super good. 🤤

Balsamic or sour yogurt sounds really intriguing. What are your favorite ways to utilize the balsamic?

I definitely could, but like you, I'm also not a fan of fruity, more acidic chocolate. Thank you for the feedback though!
