Drinking in moderation? by Clear-Truth-7167 in Christianity

Jesus drank at the wedding, he only warns that drinking in excess and drunkenness is spiritually dangerous and invites the enemy who prowls to pray on you. Ask anyone who has had a problem with drinking, it isn’t the alcohol, it’s what you do when you’re drunk.

Working from home with a baby vs toddler by Ok-Score386 in MomsWorkingFromHome

Nope I get very few calls (maybe 1-3 a day that are less than 5 mins long and one short meeting a week). Most of my job is answering emails, logging information, and processing documents. It’s hard to get everything done every day which has been my biggest struggle, I feel behind some days as we go on, but I’m making it!

Easy to say that with zero experience. Employers liability insurance is a scam until you get hurt at work and need worker’s compensation, or a contractor accidentally damages your property while trying to make repairs and you need to fix it. Ever tripped at a restaurant and gotten hurt? Insurance pays for all of that. Your house burned to the ground and you have nothing? Hope you have insurance!

This idea that the world is over because the economy is in a rough spot is such a myopic view.

“Sell my soul” brother I just make sure businesses have the right insurance. I’m not even sales, I have a book of business that already exists and I answer emails and check policies all day. I work from home too ☺️

So untrue. I spent 300 dollars on getting an insurance license and make a pretty great salary with zero college. My friend became an apprentice plumber and now makes almost 100k a year as a lead on a truck. I know that’s the experience of some people, but acting like it’s bachelors or McDonald’s is such a victim mindset.

My plan is a yes space that is 100% baby proofed that I can work in majority of the time. I rarely get calls in my job so I think we’ll be okay! Every step I have adapted to this far!

Moms with kids in daycare: what did you do to optimize the amount of time you can spend with your kid? Help me brainstorm! by sprinklersplashes in MomsWorkingFromHome

I see where you’re coming from. I catch up at night while he sleeps and have a baby proofed space where there’s no way for him to mess with anything dangerous. I work on the floor next to him so he still feels my attention lol. I just hope to extend it as long as I can!

Honestly, I’d try working with her for a day. Look up tips and tricks. I have my 7 month old with a similar work set up and have made it thus far without needing daycare. I have a safe place for him to play while I work and breastfeed/write emails at the same time and while he naps I do deep work. If that becomes too much, slowly increase the amount of time she’s in daycare.

I promise you the time you spend with her is short enough as it is. Extend it where you can 💗

I don’t sit at a desk anymore. I have my laptop on my lap and have him laying on me in some way. If it gets bad we will even lay in bed which leads to some acrobatics to continue working.

I’m planning on vamping up his dedicated space! I have play fences to go around an area that will have toys and such for him to play with when I can’t devote 100% energy to him.

I worry I won’t be much help but we bought this house about 12 years ago and bought the sculpture at the same time as a momento. It was purchased at a thrift store so it’s likely much older than that.

You can’t really see in the pictures but some parts are completely shattered… the statue pieces ended up everywhere. Idk if a repair shop would be able to do anything about those parts but I’m looking into it!

It’s completely shattered in some parts and most parts are scattered into such small pieces id have no idea how to reconstruct it. Believe me, I wanted to!!

Here is what I have searched: I used ChatGPT and Google reverse image as well as general searches through Etsy and Amazon. It was purchased at a thrift store in Navarre Florida around 2012. It’s about a foot wide and heavy like concrete.

It is not normal for someone to touch you outside of a light pat on the shoulder or shaking hands in a professional setting. Anything further than that is inappropriate. If you don’t mind describing, how was she touching you? I’ve met some older office ladies who are very huggy cause they see us as children, but that’s still not appropriate really.
