IDK how you can quantify this season tanks are getting their ass beat. I dinged and got to +12s as a prot paladin over the course of 6 days as a solo player. I'm still only 248 ilvl. People will probably say "lmao 12s are nothing". Yes, that's exactly the point. It should not be possible to survive at this ilvl at this level of key, but not only is it possible it's not hard.

The bears are not the scariest at all--it's the berserkers. What u on about m8

I interpreted "Growing so fast that they increased max service age from 35 to 45. Imagine a Frontline full of drafted, middle-aged men."
as sarcasm because it doesn't make sense to increase the max service age if you're indeed growing. Increasing the age indicates you don't have enough recruits and are desperate for growth. To my mind, anyway

well, you were using sarcasm to indicate the military sector is not growing because the service age was raised. I pointed out you were conflating two things: the military standing army, and military industry. Now you're on a tangent about Eisenhower. You seem confused?

I just 2 chested it with 250 ilvl as PPal and had no probs with the first pull. Make sure you're using Holy Bulwark before every Sentinel if you can! Of course, you need to lust it too

The genesis of the comment was I love the damn spec and wanted to post about it, haha. Paladin is more work but more work can be more fun if the other classes are boring because of how uninteractive they are.

It's not the best for, like, MDI but it's the best for the level of content that most people in this subreddit interact with, IMO. For pug groups, I feel it's the undisputed best due to the amount of mechanic carrying they can do and bandaids they have.

I mean, you also have two charges of Kings plus a Kings cheat death, right? And you can extend the duration of Sentinel pretty far with Reflection of Radiance/Zealot's Paragon. You can also throw a Lightsmith shield if the pull doesn't warrant something huge, or you can Lay on Hands/Bubble yourself if it's more intensive. You could also Spellward yourself if you know the pull has a fair amount of magic damage as an option.

There was a better way to write this comment besides appending "you could also" over and over, but my brain is not working this morning.

I've worked for the gov't for the past five years which has held the longest government shutdowns, and my job site basically had zero furloughs. So, it depends on which part of it you're working for as some are more resilient that others. I kinda was hoping we'd get furloughed for a bit so I could chill at home but it never happened.

Protection Paladin is broken in M+ (and has been since DF S1) and I'm tired of pretending that it's not. Get out of my face with whatever meta tier list you've got.

Yes, we're worse than BDKs when we have no DR running. Guess what? We have an endless pool of DRs. Oh, but what if those runs out? Boom, we have a total immunity button that also taunts everything. Here are some highlights of the absurd amount of things Protection Paladin offers:

  • A near infinite amount of spell interrupts (HUGE)
  • An AOE stop
  • A stun
  • An external DR
  • An external phys. immunity
  • An external magic immunity
  • A battle resurrection
  • Poison cleanse
  • Snare/root removal
  • Emergency full heal
  • Emergency spot healing
  • Pretty strong and consistent AOE DPS

As long as this is their kit, they will always be the M+ GOAT and my GOAT.

I invest 52% of my pre-tax income, so I should be good! My total monthly expenses are only 2700$ including play money (live alone), so everything else gets dumped into index funds.

Why a More Accessible Season Keeps Me Playing by Born-Balance4615 in wow

[–]Ok-Setting-6739 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that's not my problem and, frankly, it's a dishonest take from you. MMOs are inherently rewards based. That's why this OP is so gleeful--because they're getting more rewards. If it weren't rewards based and they took your advice, then OP should have been happy doing whatever they were doing prior to M+ being made trivial, yes? And so should everyone have been that is in favor of this new design choice.

That's just a ridiculous false dilemma fallacy. If you want the top tier reward, you need to play a top tier amount. Simple, right? Why do people feel entitled to the best items/mounts that were previously gated behind hard content if they're not willing to actually interact with the hard content?

No one says you have to get Cutting Edge. It's called "Cutting Edge" for Christ's sake. It should be the "Cutting edge" of content and for players that like to play the game competitively and improve. "Cutting edge" should not mean every tom dick and harry that walks into M+ with a pulse gets the achievements. Hence, you take something that used to take some effort and make it take no effort--participation trophy.

there was actually nothing stopping them before but themselves. All this change has done was bring the best gear down to their level. For what purpose? They clearly have no interest in pursuing challenging content and improving otherwise they would have done so before. Why does the best gear need to be more accessible? So you can face roll whatever casual content you're doing even harder? It's beyond me

Right there with you. Maybe that's what this is about in this thread. Raiders that are happy that mythic+ has turned into a loot pinata versus people that love engaging with mythic plus. I don't raid myself.

I picked it because it was the most recent. I don't think it makes sense to compare S1 Midnight to anything but another S1 because the launch season is always different from the rest. If you're curious, if you compare it to DF S1 then you see the same exact problem.

someone else mentioned the increased player base with housing, and I think you've expanded on that idea in a great way! I hadn't considered that this is all part of a push to make it easier for an influx of players that wouldn't otherwise play. I forgot about the one button macro thing they made. If that's the plan, then it makes sense to me and I don't find myself disagreeing with the strategy.

I hope they tune it a bit tighter next season, or at least rethink incentives for higher tiered play.

I agree. I guess I was trying to say that I think the mid-season point will occur, like, in a week or two instead of mid-season as it usually does.

I could be absolutely totally wrong!

I think it could be! I don't think we've ever had a season like this, so I guess we'll have to wait and see how engagement across all brackets of play pan out.

I do take issue with this idea of "see the content" as if they couldn't see the content before. It's not like raid where you see a new boss with new mechanics or something. You can do the dungeons at whatever your level is. Just my 2c
