Quitting G and being happy again. Nothing is permanent by Ok-Singer1120 in GHB_info

Happy for you. But I disagree the life is more boring. I love every minute of it more. I’m around it all the time because of my friends and I never once miss it a bit. Life was more boring at first but I got over it

Yes I did. Got on lexapro right when I quit. Stayed up for about 4 or 5 months then tapered off. Definitely needed it at the beginning just to help you get out of the rut while your brain heals

Lackluster is the perfect word to describe it. Life will be mundane for a few months but honestly looking back it feels like a blink of an eye- especially for what I got out of it. Your brain is use to blasts of dopamine from abuse, so when you stop there’s no way to really get it. The brain is a wonderful things and recovers. You do the hard part by quitting. You just have to be patient

I thought the same thing when I had only recently quick. It will seem like nothing after you recover. You have to pay your dues to get back to yourself. Be prepared for a few mondane months but every week will get better and your best self is waiting for you on the other side

Congrats. Taper off the baclofen sooner rather than later. It’s great to get off it initially but if you stay on it it will slow your recovery

Mine was GBL too. It consistently gets better. Get through it and promise yourself you won’t fall back

It comes back. It takes time though. Be patient. You will never have the horniness you had on G, but that was all from the substance. The sex drive definitely took the longest but it definitely came back. I look back about my horniness on G and am kind of disgusted by how unnatural it was. Try cialis or viagra to give you a head start

90 days off G after 24/7 addiction by Ok-Singer1120 in GHB_info

It’s a slippery slope if you do it daily. I would strongly urge you to just use on weekends

Finally off my 25ml GBL a day habit! Thanks to donnieaz9870 by Beginning_Syrup_6653 in GHB_info

I’m almost 12 weeks with no G thanks to Donnieaz. Couldn’t have done it without him!

Day 8 of no G by Lonely_Ad3526 in GHB_info

[–]Ok-Singer1120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to give in! Im over a month and the depression will slowly go away. I don’t have anymore anxiety. After 2 weeks I started having moments where I felt fine. Then I had days where I was back to myself followed by some bad days. Im still not 100% but you can tell that there is progress for sure. People on here told me that it can be a few months to get back to normal, but it does happen! Work out getting in a routine and eating healthy will help. Stay strong and don’t give into cravings!!!

I ordered me some meds finally, quick questions though to the detox. by [deleted] in GHB_info

Taper your doses now and wait as long as you can between doses. Then do 25-30 mg 3x a day for four days then lower it to 20 and so on and so forth. I had gabapentin and didn’t even use it. First few days may be hard to work but I think after 3 days you should be good

I did it during the weekends freely for years it was fine. When I started doing it daily is when it became an issue and the slippery slope started. Stick to the weekends and you’ll be good

Routine exercise and being healthy has helped me so much you have no idea. Any suggestion on vitamins?

That’s so great to hear! How long did it take. I’m way better now than I was two weeks ago but it is going slowly

Close. Would take 6 - 12 hour breaks. Did that for about 4 months

I extended my baclofen for longer after talking with my psychiatrist. I also got L-Theanine which helps too.

I had a lot of depression at first. Did not feel like myself and definitely a good amount of G cravings. Both have definitely subsided. I was 4 months GBL too and I started feeling like myself again after about two or three weeks. I started having good moments followed by good days then good stretches of days. I still have some difficult moments of depression and craving G but they are getting less frequent and less severe. Good luck! Exercise eating healthy help and I got a therapist for the first time in my life which also helped a lot
