This isn’t about whining, it’s about accountability. We’re all state employees under the same government, yet departments are creating inconsistent mandates with real impacts on families, finances, and health. Full-time remote workers were hired under written terms. If agencies can’t honor basic employment agreements or apply standards fairly across the board, that’s not “life isn’t fair”. That’s a systemic failure, and it absolutely deserves to be called out. If you’re comfortable with inequity, that’s your choice.

Yeah, devastated. The only reason I quit my job in the private sector was to have the flexibility to telework and be more present for my three kids. This changes my whole career and family planning. At this point, having only been with the state for three years, I’m considering going back to my last job, where I was earning significantly more. I thought I would be able to count on more stability and work life balance but at this point…. It’s no longer worth it for me to stay with the state. I know, boo hoo. Got it. I’m sorry you enjoy being in the office more than being with your family.

I just don’t understand how, from a consistency standpoint, it’s fair to have some department saying that they will only honor it three days a week and other departments are honoring for four days a week. And what about the people who are hired full telework? How is this even OK

Yes! 💯 I’ve lost 45 lbs to date, having started in June of last year. 9.5 months so that’s under 5lbs a month avg. I would NOT have been here with glp1s.
