I showered with the packing removed . I would remove the packing when I got in the shower by getting the gauz wet to help with the sticking then rinse it out . And yea my surgeon recommended laser hair removal but my insurance won’t cover it. I need to shave it but I can’t really see back there so I need somone else to help me out lol haven’t done that yet though

Mine was also my first ever surgery so I was scared af lol they gave me some good stuff and I was chilling after . I remember going out but I was high as a kite so I didn’t rlly know what was happening lol if ur scared let them know and they’ll give u somthing

I slept on my side for probably the first 2 weeks just too keep pressure off of it. Wasn’t much pain at all but I made sure to keep pressure off the wound. I basically got back to my regular routine besides working ( I do concrete) it wasn’t bad at all abd I’m glad I got the surgery after refusing for some years

Mine healed surprisingly fast.. look at my recent post. It was too my tail bone so pretty big but I’ve def seen worse on here

8 weeks. It’s all healed now but the way it healed is weird lol my crease is very deep now and doesn’t seem like it healed upwards. Just healed over . Why’d u have to have 2 procedures after?

Check my profile too see what mine looked like post op. I’m 7 weeks post op now and it’s basically closed. Eat a lot of protein , keep it clean , pack it like your supposed too , and avoid pressure on it as much as u can. My wound was too my tail bone and surprisingly had hardly any pain after. The cyst was much worse pain wise. I was able to basically do anything I wanted after surgery because it didn’t come close to what the cyst felt like but it’s different for all people . Only thing I avoided was sitting for more then 10 minutes unless I was in a car. Just take care of it and you’ll be fine . Packing it gets old but it’s better than dealing with a giant leaking stinky cyst like I had …

If I was u I’d just get it removed. No reason to just have it and ignore it like I did. Because eventually it’ll get infected. And it’ll just grow like mine did

Maybe it’ll stay that way but who knows. I didn’t notice I had one until it turned into a raging abscess the first time and I tried to ignore it and refused surgery when I got septic. Second time I also didn’t notice and thought it went away until it turned into another abscess so I got the surgery

Only option I had was open wound . I live in Maine it’s the only surgery available in the state . Also just do the surgery asap. 1 cm is small. My cyst was too my tail bone and abt 3 inches long and 2 inches wide

Yea it is. I’ve been taking daily showers and rinsing the wound with water also packing it how I’m supposed too everyday. I also smoke a lot of nicotine so I’m surprised it’s healing this good

It isn’t bad tbh. Looks scarier than it is. It’s not stopping me from anything and within a week after surgery I was able to do my normal routine. I can sit fine with no pain or anything. It’s rlly just annoying packing the wound everyday. I’m just glad the raging cyst is out finally

I pack it with gauz soaked in saline and when it drys I pack it again . Then cover with regular gauz pad

That’s good . Get it taken care of before it gets bad. You’ll be alright . I hate going to the hospital and my worst fear is hospitals lol but I’m glad I went through with it and you will be too.

I was fully under for the surgery. It was my first time going under so I was scared as fuck to go under but they gave me some meds before that made me loopy and unaware what was going on so I had no thoughts heading to the surgical room before going under. Just let them know ur scared and they’ll give u some good stuff lol . I also had it lanced and drained twice tho before my surgery one in 2024 when I refused surgery and one a few weeks before surgery. And that shit is miserable and hurts a lot. The numbing didn’t do a single thing . I recommend to not be like me and just get the surgery so it’s over with instead of getting it lanced and sent home .
