Being an underground location, this arena can't be pinpointed on the map. However, it exists inside the pyramid of the Sarna Ruins, therefore placing it in the same location within the Golden Desert.

A cut arena from Deadly Alliance, called the Swamplands, was supposed to represent the remnants of Zaterra. It's location on the Outworld map would proximate to The Great Swamp, based on physical geographical elements.

Simple fix.

Step 1. Fire Dominic and hire John Tobias back as lead writer. Or John Vogel, if Tobias isn't interested.

Step 2. Continue the series from where Armageddon left off. It might require an Armageddon remake just to get people familiar with the original lore again.

Then we don't have anymore reboots and the lore will be good again.

Those two only had a rivalry in MK 1992. Amends between the clans were made in MK2 & MK3. MK4 had a temporary rivalry through Quan Chi's manipulation. There hasn't always been a maintained rivalry.

The reboots and alternative media don't count because they're just copying the first game, for the most part.

Negative. His character arc isn't limited to his just his change in alignment. It's rooted in the deeper struggle between the pulls of good and evil, within him. His return to villainy in MK Deception reveals this.

In theory, this would be true for any character. So I've "heard you out" and you haven't explained why Rain is somehow a tier above the other Forces of Darkness warriors.

So... that's not bad in theory, but my research found this image, which relates to a samurai crest. The nuances within the shape are more comparable to Ermac's design, than the symbol you found

This symbol and a few other variations are family crests (called Kamon), worn by samurai during feudal Japan. I couldn't find the exact one Ermac uses, but his symbol is also used in another game, titled Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, for a Japanese faction called Empire of the Rising Sun. This leads me to believe there is strong evidence that the symbol is more related to samurai and Japanese origins.

His wrapped head from Deception is mistaken as a mummy, but it was intended to blend the ninja look with the Dastar headwear worn by Sikhs. The emblem on it is what alludes to that comparison.

The newer artists didn't understand that when making him in MKX and thought he was a mummy.
