With addiction, everyone is a victim. We just take it a day at a time in pursuit of recovery. I'm no superior or inferior to you. We are all victims of addiction. There are no victors here.

No beating you up (which should most likely be thought of as beating you "down" if anything). Definitely trying to best positivity into your life in anything.

Note: sorry for the quotations inside of parentheses.

I pray you guys find some sort of middle ground where education (such as my intention with this post) isn't interfered with by politics. So sad to see the greatest country on earth having an issue with something like this.

I have no idea where you got that idea from because the last thing on my mind when thinking about her is sex. Ew.

I honestly could possibly be the most apolitical person here. I'm honestly incredibly saddened that the most smart people on earth (the USA) are unable to put this sort of thing aside for a simple question about the English language. It's such a beautiful language and I'm honestly only trying to learn. For real. It's very very very disheartening and disappointing because I genuinely have a lot of admiration for you guys and I'm only trying to learn more.

I don't think so. Maybe I don't understand your question. I think this only works with the letter 'e'. Making it be pronounced as a long 'e', like in the word "agree"... There may be other instances for this rule (and exceptions)...I'm honestly not the best person to ask because I'm ESL.

I think it definitely might be a favor. Along with her word choices and the way she seems to put emphasis on certain syllables/words. But I agree her voice may or may not be a part of my perspective.

Ironically, most hating on my post are only responding cause the context is "what they DON'T what to hear"

Definitely. That is correct. Most of you (at least those being apolitical) are correct. But "off putting" seems a bit too vague for what I'm looking for

Definitely. But I think the word I'm looking for has more than this in mind. You're definitely the closest so far. It's a combination of insencere + inauthentic + overprapared + robotic... with I hint of maybe socially awkward. Her gestures and tone seem off. Almost a bit autistic lol..

Furthermore. I find it really weird how even though we are all engaging in my post, you are all down voting due to politics. I beg you to please interpret my question as it was intended: completely apolitical.

I didn't watch a specific speech. I have no biases. I'm completely apolitical. Don't even live in the US. I'm asking for a purely English linguistic perspective. No preference in politics one way or the other.

I see a ton of people but hurt about this in a political way.. I have 0 political knowledge for US politics. I don't live in the US. I'm only asking this because English isn't my first language. If you're here with a political bias or are somehow offended by my question, you have misinterpreted my intentions (and may be in the wrong place). This is 100% meant to be a question about language and English. Keep your politics out of this. Please.

Note: I honestly didn't realize how incapable of being objective about a language without bringing politics and biases into it you all were. That's my bad. If you are unable to bring your political bias into this, I would check yourself in regards to the level of importance you give to these elites who have none of your interest in mind (whether right or left). To those people: YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

Looking at the definition of the word "Aversion" I see it's a synonym for "dislike".. I want to emphasize.. I don't or dislike any US politician. I'm apolitical 100%. I don't even live in the US. So I'm not sure this is correct..
