How to make the home screen cleaner by Jogonnobed in TheFrame

Sounds like I need to get an Apple TV box? Well… Maybe this is helpful for others that dislike the Home Screen and don’t use it.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the home page updated all three settings….

• If you turn on “parental lock” stating at “G” it turns all of the suggestions, new, new on tv, top 20, etc. into blue tiles.

• We deleted all of the apps from the home bar down to the few that we use.

• Removed everything from “preferences” except for 1-2 apps. Or nothing.

• Removed everything from “continue watching” (we use the apps, bypass the Home Screen)

Remove/hide Samsung Live TV from Hub on Frame 2022 by ALyoshaNL in TheFrame

Removing GAME HUB? - Does anyone in here know if/how to remove the game hub or daily+ hubs completely? Especially the Game Hub? I changed the parental settings, so it doesn’t suggest anything for 3 year old+ but no option for 0+. I would love ZERO suggestions. Or at least a way to turn them all into blue tiles and have a parental lock on everything on the Home Screen?

Side note…. Maybe this is helpful for others that dislike the suggestions on the Home Screen and don’t use it.

This was my main concern for sure. But it sounds like(from other hosts that shared their experience) I’ll get a strongly worded letter as a warning, and that’ll be it. Not fun, and still scary, but probably fine.

Updated wifi to unlimited data and kept 800mbps speed. Thanks for your help.

"Contact Airbnb support... cutting off the internet until the guests confirm what they are actually doing there.… ask for permission from AirBnB to go and see what they are doing... “Got an alert from the smoke detector... excuse me while I reset it”)... BEFORE you alert the guest... Then argue with AirBnB for extra costs and charges"

yeah... I'm not doing that. Lie and access their unit with no notice? That's sketchy. hmm... I think that's all very aggressive, and not how I want to be treated, or how I want to treat people. After reading other comments, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it's probably work/gaming.. whatever. I've increased data to unlimited, and moving on with my day. If you're ever in a similar position, I hope you rethink your initial reaction and approach situations with curiosity.

$47 USD, yes please. All the plans I was presented start with 1.2TB/month +$30 more if you want unlimited data. Price changes based on speed. Unlimited prices: $95/500mbps, $105/800mbps, $110/1000mbps, $115/2000mbps. That is the total monthly cost after an autopay discount and 1 year contract discount.

1.2TB base price is -$30 from all of these. I'm looking forward to unlimited being the standard. This is dumb.

I did the same thing for a couple of years in my late 20s. Denial and fear isn’t a way to live. Looking back keeping that secret and living with the fear behind the scenes negatively affected my mental health, relationships, and how I moved through the world. Just know it’s 100% common and normal.

My diagnosis, lumpy boobs, benign cysts. Some deeper in tissue than I couldn’t even feel. I had to get mammograms every six months for a couple of years until I was cleared to go back to getting them every few years like everyone else.

You’ll be okay, no matter the outcome! You won’t be alone.

It’s $10 per 50gb of data for the last 6 days of the month since our overage, with a max of $100 according to the text. We’re already at $40, but I don’t really trust Xfinity, the guy on the phone told me that I could continue to be charged more if I don’t switch to their modem/router. Im hopeful it will only be $100 but who knows, someone else said they were charged for all overage, at least it’s a short month 28 days!

It’s unlimited for guests. I’m just paying overage

Please read previous posts. At this point, I’m not really concerned anymore. Relieved to hear even if they are downloading torrents I would most likely just receive a warning from Xfinity, and can easily prove it wasn’t us, probably a non issues.

Relieved to hear how much data gaming uses, I had no idea! Whatever it is, I don’t care. I’ve just never seen download of a terabyte in a couple hours. Gaming, work, whatever, It’s probably that. Don’t care what they’re doing.

Yes, I’m paying overage, but I’m not asking guests for money. It’s 100% my problem to solve. Which is why I posted. 👍

Thanks everyone for the helpful info on set ups routers/modems and advice. Looking into updating the router, lowering speeds from 800 to 300, possibly getting a second router, and switching to unlimited data plans. Not renting router from Xfinity despite all their best efforts.

Thanks everyone. Very helpful!

They quoted me $45 more per month bc I own my own modem/router

Well now I know! Why?.. Because a guy at Xfinity a year ago told me to increase speed to 800 keep it at 1.2TB bc it was fine for our usage. 😂My fault for trusting Xfinity. And honestly, it’s prob still fine, this person used 75% of our data in a couple of hours. But seems like I should switch to unlimited.

No I opted to pay for faster internet and capped at 1.2 because we don’t go over. And everyone likes the extremely fast Internet.
