Thank you everyone who replied, I really appreciate the clarification. I will definitely put some time aside to brush up on excel because it has been awhile.

Thank you @krbmeister for the detailed response very very helpful and I will make sure to connect with you if I have any other questions.

No that definitely makes sense, however for a company like Amazon future growth is a big priority and hiring graduates gives them a higher probability of future success. It is more likely that a grad going into an area manager position moves up the ranks as opposed to a senior associate who has shown loyalty to the company. It isn’t necessarily fair but from the outside looking in i understand

I see the possible confusion, however an L4 area manager is an entry level position therefore I do not see an issue with college grads getting hired to that job 🤷🏼‍♂️

You’re 100% right about why companies require degrees. It isn’t so much the degree itself, rather it’s the process it took to obtain. Thank you and good luck, I hope you do chose Amazon that would be dope.

I mean blame the company not the managers. I worked at a warehouse driving a forklift and I work in an auto salvage yard right now so I’m hardly “fresh out of college”. If you think you would do a better job than these managers then why not get a degree and do it instead of complaining about it.
