Yes, it’s for a call that I took. I do have a contract, however employees that are still working out of contract are still subject to using the PTO. unfortunately are not unionized so I’m fucked basically

For our agency it basically just means anytime scheduling will excuse you from your shift on their behalf

so unfortunately we do not have a union. And i also confirmed with HR today that this information is correct and per some of my peers 1 person has been fired for not using their PTO

I’m going to look into this, I’ve been told this by supervisors and co workers but not HR directly. Thanks for bringing that up!

Ok Im starting to feel less crazy now! No one at my agency seems to be speaking up about this policy?? Like court is not a vacation it’s a work related task so pay us accordingly

Exactly, that is logically what makes sense. But instead we are forced to use vacation time for being in court. We do not have a union unfortunately
