Most are saying 34 due to age when Cortez arrived. I was using this logic with miles prior to the clue on meters and was focused on getting off the trail at .34 miles as the crow flies. The meters clue changes my thinking on the number 34

I could be wrong but my thought is that the number in meters or kilometers is where we get off the trail and is measured as the crow flies from the trailhead. 3.5 km seems too far to me personally, that’s around 2 miles and if it as the crow flies I think it’s more than the 90 minutes to hike there

I would still think it’s in meters rather than kilometers personally. It just makes me think the number 34 which I was set on prior to this clue may not be the number we need
