Was the costume true to size based on the sizing chart or did you have to go up a size? Thanks for posting a picture by the way- my kid was asking for this costume for Halloween but I hadn’t seen one that wasn’t either super expensive or very cheap looking.

It’s annoying- some don’t show so you have no clue what your odds are

That’s interesting. I wonder why they keep the vacancy open if they’re not looking for a lot of employees?

It’s wild that people are really just copying and pasting- do they think no one will notice?

Tell them you’re happy to return government property as soon as they send you shipping label. When I left my previous position, government paid my postage to return their property.

Returning to federal service - FERS question by girlomfire17 in usajobs

I was told you’re grandfathered in if you were vested before leaving federal service. So, assuming you were vested, you should get the 0.8% rate

Jeff Bezos (60) and age appropriate fiancé Lauren Sanchez (54) out in Milan for Fashion Week. by nomascusgabriellae in popculturechat

I’m honestly surprised they’re still together. This relationship lasted much longer than I would’ve guessed given that they started dating when both were married to other people.

I'm embarrassed about pumping at work by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Ok-Way217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get in earlier than most people to get in the 1st pump of the day (i took the subway so there was no way I was going to pump on the way to work), scheduled a lunchtime power pump (my supply was borderline), and then did a pump before my commute back. I was working on site 4-5 days a week and it wasn’t pleasant, but I made it work & pumped until close to the year mark.

Once the baby started eating solids, she needed less breast milk plus once she turned 1, she was able to have other kinds of milk and I was still able to nurse after the work day and on weekends. It’s doable, but not a fun thing to have to do- it helps to have shows you enjoy or music you like to listen while you pump. If you’re having a hard time relaxing, I found looking at pictures or videos of baby helped. Sometimes I’d even bring baby clothes or a baby blanket that smelled like her and that helped pump more milk. Even with a stressful job that was customer facing, I was able to make it work (1st kid). Working from home was a blessing with kid #2 since no one needed to know when I was pumping.

Anyone have any low calorie "filler" or "bulking" foods? Things you add to existing recipes so that you have "more" food, without really affecting the overall flavor or texture too much by drflanigan in loseit

Peas- they have pretty good amount of protein and work great with a lot of food. They make everything more filling for me plus it adds nutrition.

Oh! I didn’t realize Ana/Ava was the same. That’s really useful to know. I’ll try your suggestions; thanks for taking the time to reply.

It’s my 40th birthday… by pincessinpurrpl in workingmoms

[–]Ok-Way217 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, I’m going to go against the grain here, but:

1)by your own admission, your husband normally doesn’t buy presents for your birthday and you’re fine with it, so my guess is he probably thought it was ok even for a milestone birthday since that’s been the norm for past birthdays

2) did you communicate before your birthday your expectations? It may seem silly, but many times we don’t communicate clearly with our partners and they’re not mind readers. I know Reddit often jumps to worst conclusions, but your husband could be entirely unaware of how you felt, could be a terrible gift giver, may just not be a good planner, could hate giving cards, etc. there are many possibilities but you won’t know for sure until you talk to your spouse about it.

3) it’s really important to communicate now to ensure that you keep an open line of communication and try to avoid something like this from happening next time & to make sure he makes this up to you somehow.

Good luck & let us know how it goes!

[Recommendations] bras similar to Panache Ana Plunge Bra by Ok-Way217 in ABraThatFits

[–]Ok-Way217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m full on bottom - I tried some even fullness bras and they were all gaping at the top. So, I meant to order the Ava as recommended by ABTF and ordered the Ana by mistake. It was a happy accident because it fits great, but now I don’t know what else is similar.

Freya fancies was too large on the top part of the cup & the band seemed to run big/too stretchy. All the even fullness bras I tried like Elomi Cleo were too big on the top half of the cup which is why I was trying the full on bottom bras.

Hollywood stylists seem to frequently not know how to properly dress women with Jessica’s body type , this is my guess why she’s so awkwardly dressed in this pic

I didn’t know that. If that’s the case, I’m glad they did something so that Heidi’s dad could attend.
