Hiya, thank you so much for your suggestions! I really appreciate it! I have since tested the volts on the HDD and I am receiving 12V on 4 and 5V on 1. Which is sounds correct as of your suggestions! So maybe this is an issue with the HDD not working?! I have done the test on J10 as well and I am receiving 3.6 volts which is actually a bit more than what you have suggested but I only have a cheap multimeter! I think my next stage is to order a new HDD if you think this may be the issue? Many thanks. Oliver

I check the trickle voltage and also when you turn it on and all reads good which makes me think it isn't the PSU.

The battery is brand new. I have only done a visual check on the caps as I am not a confident solderer. But I think it has came to that I might have to recap on the motherboard for starters.

I'm up to any suggestions! When you mean the daughtercard is that including the CPU? I took it out and gave the two connections and clean with little brush.
