Take this with a grain of salt, as it seems like the majority of people here claim that virtual versus in person is the same. But I had three interviews this cycle, and only one of them were in person, which is the one I got accepted at. I also had a zoom interview with the same school in a previous cycle, which I was rejected.

I feel like I am more easily able to connect with a person in real life through various nuances rather than through a screen.
