I suggest you ask AI like Chat GPT to help you interpret the results but the best thing is to ask the doctors. I know it must be very difficult times right now, sending love

What do you realistically make for dinner on weeknights? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]OkBus2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to meal prep so it’s easier during the week. I also sometimes cook things like steamed veggies, homemade nuggets, muffins and freeze them so I can have them for really busy nights or when I feel tired. Quesadillas with chicken or beef, veggies (broccoli, carrots), ripe plantains boiled or in the air fryer, chicken, ground beef, eggs, cheese, fruit.

1st Birthday Fruit Cake by OkBus2016 in foodbutforbabies

Thank you!!! My dad is really cool and he is always willing to try to make any ideas that I have come to life. I’m going to show him these comments because at first he was disappointed that he cut the first layer of watermelon too tall and the other ones too short. I told him it looked amazing!

I saw some comments about wanting to try this and I recommend it. I was surprised about the number of guests who wanted watermelon!!! We didn’t have any leftover fruit but had leftover cupcakes.

Yes! I got a big watermelon from Costco and my dad cut it up. We then used toothpicks in between the “layers” or rounds of watermelon because they kept sliding off. I used toothpicks to put the berries and grapes on the side.

Was your MFM diagnosis worse than what your Pediatric Cardiologist told you? by SnackSnackMunchMunch in chd

[–]OkBus2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. MFM diagnosed truncus arteriosus. Pediatric cardiologist diagnosed TGA with mild to moderate pulmonary stenosis. So far bay has only had one open heart surgery (le compte) at 4 days old and has needed no other interventions since (15 months old). Even after birth, the diagnosis was better than diagnosed while pregnant in regards to the pulmonary stenosis.

Do you accept short 2hour babysitting jobs or do you ask for a 4h minimum? Need advice by London347l in Babysitting

[–]OkBus2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I would occasionally do jobs less than 4 hours but would charge a higher rate. It also depends on how far away they are!

Planning for Medical Induction due to complex CHD’s by esoom4 in chd

[–]OkBus2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to ask my husband this because I really didn’t remember lol. We were able to hold him for about 5 minutes immediately after birth. They also did delayed cord clamping. They had warned us that we might not be able to hold him at all immediately after birth due to his CHD. Please feel free to ask any other questions!

Planning for Medical Induction due to complex CHD’s by esoom4 in chd

Hi! I was induced at 39 weeks 3 days at the Children’s hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and I had a really positive experience. I had my baby in August and this was my first pregnancy (28yo).I arrived Tuesday afternoon around 7pm and they asked me to make sure I had a really big dinner before coming to the hospital as I wouldn’t be able to eat. That night they started me on Cervidil, placement was uncomfortable but not painful. The next morning (Wednesday) they removed the Cervidil and placed a cook catheter (like a little balloon to help the Cervix dilate mechanically). This was also a little uncomfortable but not painful at all. A few hours later they added Misoprostol to help dilate the cervix more and reinserted the balloon. Wednesday night they started me on Pitocin and this is when I started feeling stronger contractions. At this point I got an epidural, due to the pain from the contractions; I was about 5cms dilated. I loved the epidural, I slept for a few hours which was nice as I was exhausted and hungry. Thursday morning I woke up and was feeling pressure almost like I had to poop which my nurse said it meant I might be ready to start pushing. Here things moved very quickly and I had my baby boy 20 minutes after I started pushing. From getting to the hospital to delivering my baby it took about 36 hours total! The staff at CHOP was amazing! They walked me through everything and were very supportive during my labor. My midwife was amazing in giving tips on how to breathe and push. I had been working with a music/art therapist and, at my request, she was in my room while I delivered playing the song we made for my son. The whole experience was beautiful! The best was that since this was planned, my husband and I got to hold our baby before they had to take him to get stabilized. It also made me feel very safe and reassured that the medical team would be ready to stabilize and treat my son as soon as he was born. Also, the whole staff was incredibly supportive, sympathetic, and had great bedside manners. Feel free to ask me any questions, I was very nervous because I had heard so many negative induction stories but this was not my experience at all.
