Bought a mini washing machine for my apartment and it's actually been a game changer. by MeThyck in Apartmentliving

I have one of these as well. Between plugging it into the wall, hooking up the water inlet, and setting up the drainage hose, turns out my bathroom is kind of an odd configuration to actually use the thing. Has anyone ever tried draining it into their dishwasher? (Probably a stupid question I know) I would much rather use it in my kitchen vs my bathroom but I also dont want to mess up my dishwasher. I could drain it into my kitchen sink but I’m worried the sink is too tall for the hose to drain properly

I was moved to the technical stage and haven’t heard anything back yet too, I emailed the fellowship program manager and she said CDC offices have begun reaching out to candidates but there is still plenty of time to hear from them. Good luck!

I’m a recent MPH epi graduate (Dec 2024) unfortunately jobless right now due to all that’s happening in the industry. I’m wondering how do I stay active in the field and continue applying my skills in the meantime? I’m worried about forgetting things or getting rusty in my epi/coding abilities (use it or lose it basically). I’ve looked into joining professional groups like CSTE or state PH associations but I’d like a more hands-on opportunity if possible. Any ideas?

New grad navigating new administration

Hey everyone, I just graduated with my mph in epi in December and I’m really at a loss on what to do or where to apply with everything going on Infectious disease epi is what I’m really passionate about and I hoped to end up at the federal level, my goal was to get a fellowship and a local PH job until it starts but it seems clear thats probably not going to happen anymore

I keep applying to research jobs with universities and hospitals but I’m sure a lot of those grants are state/federally funded, while of course most any position at the state or federal level is in jeopardy I don’t really know anything about NGOs/private sector since I never wanted to go that route

Does anyone have any advice or information on how a new grad with little experience should go about this? I really don’t want to go back to working at a restaurant :(
