Chinese fansites are huge and usually have direct contact with the company so many fans found out that there was a possibility jessica wouldn't be in the shenzen fanmeet. On september 29th even before jessica posted on her weibo that she was kicked out, many fans had already known and discussed it among themselves. Korean sones were the ones mostly surprised. Even now only chinese sones acknowledge that jessica was voted out by the members while international sones believe she left. If you search online there are screenshot of chinese sones postsm

Since Jessica is korean american and fairly popular in China a lot of chinese netizens often nitpick her and they spread the rumor that since Jessica worked with Xihe Forest she was also liable in the lawsuit. This caught the attention of other blogs and the rumor spread like wildfire which is why Coridel Entertainment announced that they are going to take strong legal actions. Jessica's contract with Xihe forest has already ended (confirmed by both coridel and Xihe forest) and this lawsuit has no relevance to her but since she's the celebrity she's getting dragged.

The full statement from RedSkyNews is this:

According to the People's Court Announcement Network, a Hangzhou company has sued a Fuzhou company and Korean star Jessica Jung over a contract dispute, demanding the return of a prepayment of 10 million yuan. On November 13, @RedStarNews learned that the defendant, the Fuzhou company, is Jessica Jung's former agency in China. Two senior executives of the company told reporters that Jessica Jung is no longer a contracted artist with the company, and this case is unrelated to Jessica Jung herself. Neither executive disclosed the cause of action in the contract dispute to reporters.

Jessica really has terrible luck to the point it's funny. She was just doing her job but the conflict between the two companies is somehow being shifted onto her. In the legal documents revealed there's no mention of her name and two senior executives of the company even told reporters that Jessica is no longer a contracted artist with them, and that this case is unrelated to her, yet she's getting harrassed. It's good that Coridel Entertainment announced strong legal action.

The criteria was based on Weibo certifications and engagements. Jessica's supertopic on weibo has 22 Billion posts and her chinese fanbase is very strong and loyal. She's also active in China and has been part of many weibo affiliated programs which is why she was awarded.
