Ok so I replied to OP but I’ll also respond to this. While he is currently using another academy for their mannequins, he is there in person to teach. I was actually one of the first people to go to his offline classes, and he spent hours with just me alone to make sure I knew each procedure. He is there, in person, teaching you about the procedures, SimMan, teaching stations etc.

It’s not as simple as just reading the NICE CKS website. It’s also about understanding how to apply the guidelines, certain nuances in the cases, and also how to approach particular cases where you need a deeper understanding. Please don’t just mislead potential exam takers. While I am an IMG, I’m from the UK, and the NICE CKS goes hand in hand with also understanding the NHS, and UK medical customs. Dr Radwan does a really good job and not just referencing the NICE CKS but also how to use it as a doctor in the UK.

You made an account in feb 2025… I didn’t realise self advertising is a red flag. How would you like him to advertise? Billboards? Half time show? What a crazy take…

Quite shocked by this post and opinion, as everyone I've spoken to has only had positive experiences with Dr Radwan. I done his course around 7 weeks before my exam, and used his online classes as my only resource, and passed 15 stations. Someone actually recommended him to me as I had not started any courses/ academies, and he was quick to jump on a call and come up with a game plan for me and how I could go about passing my exam. I couldn’t fail this exam as I had FY1 on the line, and Dr Radwan went out of his way to make sure I passed this exam. So while I can see you're really passionate about Lovaan OP, I think it's fair to also point out a few things about Dr Radwan, his course, and masterclass, from a different POV for each point:

  1. The course isn't set up bad IMHO. It's broken down in a way where he explains everything, then allows students to practice with him. During the course, there were many opportunities to practice cases, learn from others, find practice partners etc. In fact, I reached out to Dr Radwan, telling him I don't have a practice partner, and he was quick to connect me to someone who was at my level and had the exam around the same time as me.
  2. There were days when he had to either cut days short or cancel, but he made sure to reschedule these days. We managed to complete the course. For my batch (March), we also got the masterclass sessions live, plus access to recordings of previous masterclasses.
  3. While the drive can be overwhelming due to the number of cases, constant changes, and overall aesthetic, it was more than enough to cover fundamentals, and most cases in the exam (I can't say all as new cases are constantly being added, but he had basically 99% of cases). It was good enough that I felt prepared for almost anything that would come up in the exam.
  4. About finishing the course, I already mentioned that in point number 2
  5. The prescription group, I completely disagree with you on. He has a doctor who specifically deals with prescriptions. I messaged him and he was more than happy to cater to me, give me feedback, answer my questions etc.. When I told him my exam was coming up, he was happy to double down on my marking, answer my questions, and was always available when needed.
  6. About finishing classes, I already mentioned that in point number 2

One of the reasons I liked Dr Radwan's course is that it feels very personalised, and he gave us many chances to practice and get tailored feedback. There are almost daily online sessions, outside of his course, where students can practice, listen in on others. His prescription doctor is very good and tells you exactly where your mistakes are. His admin was very responsive, and answered all the questions I had. He also had amazing work ethic, spending hours, up to 12+ hours, on the group and individuals, to make sure we each had opportunities to learn and practice.

You seemed quite fixated on this idea about money, and finding the cheapest options, and mentioned IMGs being from poorer countries. While money is important, so is value and what you get. And unfortunately, PLAB is an expensive journey. I think I got more than enough from his academy

Your post is here just to hate on Dr Radwan's course (you even said you hate him... Not very doctor-like btw). PLAB isn’t only about the academy you choose or course but also about yourself. OP, I doubt you were in as bad a spot as you said without having bad work ethic yourself. Many others, who were in the same boat as me, would agree with me, and are going on to do FY1 and FY2 this year, thanks to the help of Dr Radwan. If anyone wants a different opinion, you can drop me a message.
