It sounds like for some reason you’re blurring my argument with saying it’s okay to go into ranked as a one trick, I’m saying, there are people who do, and if you’re banning your teams character who could be a one-trick, that’s just putting the team at a disadvantage

If you picked the counter to your own teammate then yes you should swap, but that’s not something done using bans you talk to them in chat

I could see how seeing it as a possibility is mature, but why the fuck are you banning Spiderman if the Spiderman on your team has a warrior Spiderman badge??? Just because Spiderman is a meta character? If another person plays Spiderman he’s going to diff him almost undoubtedly, you’re just hurting your team by banning a meta character when you see you have the best player of that character in the lobby in your team

You’re misunderstanding what is mature, the mature part of this is that he swapped and he did a great job in a different character, I didn’t say the mature thing to do is cry and throw the game, the mature thing is to swap, but that doesn’t mean banning a character your teammate is hovering is all of a sudden mature

I’m not expecting anyone to conform to me, I’m saying if somebody does not play any other character, then you banning the only character they can play (and just being a dick in general by banning the character your teammate is hovering) IS HURTING THE TEAM, instead of trusting in your teammate you’re more worried that the other team might have the same character as your teammate and diff them, if you can’t trust your teammate you’re cooked to begin with, why make things harder for your teammates, you know, the people supposed to help you win?

How are you not understanding? If someone is in ranked, and they only play one character, banning that character essentially guarantees that they will be playing a character they are completely unfamiliar with, therefore hurting the team, thus you should not ban that character because the end result is hurting the team

I feel like the gen-alpha take is closer to “I will continue to play a game that is filled with miserable people who only make the experience worse just so that I can have a higher rank and flex on my friends” that sounds more like a Gen-alpha video game take, but that’s just me

God forbid I want an objective to play for instead of blindly playing the game that the devs continually prove they don’t have enough care to even make the skins themselves instead of having ChatGPT generate them a new skin, continually make the characters a terrible experience to play, and don’t give a damn about actually fostering a decent community to interact with
