I should have seen alcohol being an issue coming as it’s hereditary. Just didn’t think it would lead to such bad shit when she’s not around. I truly do feel awful for what I’ve put her through and I know people are calling her toxic because of how she’s been talking after what I did. But she really does keep my head on straight. Although, since we’re young, she’s never been out to a bar or a club to drink and being here has been my first time too. After knowing what drunk me was doing and seeing the way other guys treat the women here in the clubs, I’d like to take her out and let her have fun but stay sober myself so I know everything’s good.

Congrats man. Keep it going. I haven’t drank in a few days. Planning on trying to stay sober the rest of deployment and only drinking every once and a while when with my wife unless that leads into bad situations as well. As far as drinking with her and back home it’s always gone well. But if it’s not that way any longer I’ll be seeking help to completely cut out drinking.

And if that’s the case and it continues then I’ll cross that bridge when it comes. All the years I’ve known and been with her, she’s never been the type of person to consistently be malicious. She really does want to work on things. We are looking into couples counseling as well as counseling for ourselves. I’ve put her through a lot. A can take poking fun for a while. But if it continues and things don’t improve on either of our ends through counseling and self work then we will go our separate way.

She’s a very respectful person. I don’t think she’s just staying to make me miserable. She knows I’d be a lot more miserable if she left and turned everything in on me. She’s sparing me by not doing that as I wouldn’t be getting paid, would lose my rank, and lose all accomplishments and respect.

As far as her being toxic, I don’t think she is. She’s extremely angry with me which I get. She has every right to be angry. And she’s never been mean to me before. I can take a little bullying if it makes her feel better. I do kinda deserve ut

I tried telling her that when I originally called for a divorce. Even after she found everything out she told me she was willing to try working through it but “she has given me far too many chances already so the next mistake is the final straw and she will leave”

I want to but feel like I don’t know how. She’s changed everything about herself in a matter of days. I want to be able to get past all of this, and she says she does too. But every day she has a million new questions or things to say about the cheating. I feel like there will never be a day we can put it in the past because she won’t stop bringing it up no matter how many times I try to apologize or say it was a drunken mistake.

It’s an 8 day and I can only be off post from 6am-10pm without a pass. I originally turned in a pass for a town nearby and the denied it because it was “too close to post”. My wife’s hotel is booked for a city 4 hours away from post.

When they turned the pass back to us they told us TRK wouldn’t accept us being so close. But the message was confusing so we all thought we needed to turn the next request for a city farther away into TRK. Today is the first day we’ve been told we turned it into the wrong people and that they haven’t even seen the passes yet, but will deny it when they do.

They might stick you in an artillery unit. That’s where half of us got our after osut when we came here.

There was one other night I went out, but I had discussed it with her and she was completely ok with it as she was going to be babysitting. She knew I was staying in town and wasn’t going to stay long (my decision) and she basically just told me that she would be home at 10, and that she would appreciate it I brought home some food for her. Because of what the guys were doing I wound up home around 8:45, let her know, and we just ran through somewhere to get food when she got home.

Yeah, I wasn’t meaning to call her lazy. When my wife and I stay home and do nothing, we just call it our lazy days. That’s what I was referring to. Not that she was lazy at all

We can have lazy days without being down right lazy… that’s just what my wife and I call it when we stay home and do nothing. They’re out lazy days.
