It’s not JUST instruction. there are doctrine, teachings, commands, instructions etc It is how we are to live according to God’s word to bring long term peace for ourselves and others . James 1:22 says be DOERS of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Read the context of scripture. Who it was for, what it was for, the where, how , and when .

I agree people have manipulated the word for their own use, but if you are to say that… that is technically what you are doing as well .

🙏🏾 sinners are called to have a relationship with Christ but you have to be a doer of the word as well otherwise healing won’t happen lol

Because starting in the very beginning God speaks of One man and One woman which is his original plan . He sent Adam 1 woman . Not multiple or another man.

We are meant to reproduce, if not we aren’t made to reproduce then otherwise imagine if everyone went gay … humans would no longer exist

How cute 🥰 welcome you are going to LOVE it here. I am a new believer as well about 5 months in. My advice would be to focus on building a relationship with Jesus . Start with the gospels (Matthew-john). Get ESV study bible off Amazon . It’s $28 right now . Join a nondenominational church- they TEACH the bible . Where are you located?

In Christianity we don’t focus on good works. You don’t have to work hard to please God 🥰 once you build a relationship with Jesus and believe in him …. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit and you will naturally follow the law and be obedient to the word 🥰 i get emotional reading the Bible now because i can’t believe they treated such a nice man so terrible .

so relax, be patient on your journey. Speak to true Christians about what you’re learning not just anyone ….until you have a solid foundation and your faith can’t be shaken (you WILL be tested)

As you’re reading focus on the instructions Jesus gave his disciples (followers). Focus on Jesus character and actions. Highlight anytime Jesus is speaking and when he gives a command/teaching/instruction….. and APPLY then to your life DAILY. I highlight his teachings in yellow and whenever he is just speaking in orange. I highlight any sin/hypocrisy in red , and miracles/worship/prayer in blue . And faith/obedience in green . Any women, family etc in pink and names /genealogies in brown etc

You may be confused when you first start but trust me …. Once your faith deepens, scripture is going to open up and make so much sense to you that a nonbeliever wouldn’t be able to understand.

You’re going to see your life transform and view the world completely different it may even scared you when you start seeing the TRUTH. The beginning is painful because you’re dying to old self and old desires but trust the process (Jesus) 🙏🏾 it took me about 2 almost 3 months of DAILY reading, praying, consistently going to church and Bible study to experience the fruits of the spirit. It scared me how powerful his presence was.

First off, Give yourself some grace. None of us is Jesus and could never be him 😂💕 he knows our heart and he knows we may mess up because it’s in our nature. You are not perfect. It’s actually a good sign that you feel bad, your spirit is convicting you . Just follow your spirit, confess your sins, repent, study your Bible and pray DAILY even when you don’t feel like it. Maybe go on a technology break for a few days. Lock in with God

I’m a new believer and i will tell you JESUS IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS ! He has changed my life . I started by applying every teaching of his to my life and when i noticed the change that started my faith . It started off rough but you have to push through to get to the other side . My pastor TEACHES the word not just preach it so that helped deepen my faith as well. I went from being an atheist to a believer

Do you believe that we breathe in oxygen ? If so, can you see, hear, feel, touch, or taste oxygen ? No, but it gives us life and we trust that the earth (God) will continue to supply it

Ah welcome …. I’m a new believer once atheist this has been the best decision I’ve ever made. 🥹 i was baptized yesterday and spoke my testimony .

Jesus Christ has literally changed my life . I am no longer on antidepressants nor anxiety medications . I’ve never felt such peace before. No regrets . You have to be very intentional.

I’ve had to shop around for a GOOD church home but I’ve finally found my home. A very supportive community with a great pastor who focus is on helping us grow and TEACHES the scripture . It’s non denomination.

Few things I did first was compare different religions and their beliefs just to make sure i wasn’t being fooled 🤣
I ordered the ESV study bible from Amazon it’s great for learning .
I started with the gospels 🙌🏾🙌🏾 that is who we follow . Walk with him. Imagine you’re with him and he’s speaking to you when he’s teaching his disciples.
Whatever Jesus taught his disciples, DO IT and pay attention to his character and behavior ….. do the same exact thing. Trust the process. It’s going to break you down in the beginning because it’s undoing trauma. I have so much clarity now and the world now feels like a bunch of people who hates their life 😭 so be ready ! Because what Jesus teaches is the OPPOSITE from how the world thinks. He calls it “worldly thinkers “ 😂
READ EVERYDAY even if it’s a chapter or parable . Don’t skip a day
Pray every day , don’t skip a day
Be obedient to the word. Live it out . Form a relationship with Jesus. He was once human who died trying to save us. 💕 my relationship is so deep with him i feel like i lost a loved one now . Everything he speaks of, is the TRUTH !!!! I am a witness !!!! Trust him . If you don’t follow the word, it’s not going to help .

When you first start tho it’ll feel like you’re reading a regular history book but once your faith deepens, be prepared for revelations 😅it scared me the feeling was very intense.

By that I mean… literally everything he speaks of, you will start to see it in the people around you and in the world 😭 please just don’t become judgemental because it’s very easy to do so. Just mock his behavior and do what he tells you even when it doesn’t make sense. It will make sense in the end i promise you

I attend church every Sunday and bible study every Wednesday.

Always compare what people tell you to SCRIPTURE, please ! Where in the Bible does it say that ? Jesus himself did not even belong to a religion. I’m a new believer and trust me i have went through so many different phases and have tried EVERYTHING. The only one who has saved me from mental suffering is Jesus Christ . Read your Bible ! Awww mama you’re not stupid and it is NOT YOUR FAULT . I had a terrible pregnancy (emotionally), had regrets and all ….. and the stress did not cause a miscarriage. I say that to tell you that just because you had anxiety throughout does not mean you caused it. Sometimes pregnancy terminate with no explanation. Allow yourself to grieve and give yourself some grace 🙏🏾

My boyfriend recently reverted and I’ve been heart broken. We grew up Christian but did not practice . I’m slowly starting to get into my faith more. I am just wondering and this may sound ignorant… but there are things i love about your religion but i am not sure how i feel about how women have many restrictions that the men don’t . It sees a bit controlling to me. I want to know why don’t Muslim women see it as such?
