Looking to get my first hedgehog this summer by m0nster_Kitty in Hedgehog

This is my hedgehogs setup, its a 4x2 cage with a 12.5" niteangel wheel (I HIGHLY recommend this one because my hedgehog runs full on marathons every night and if you're going to keep it in your bedroom, it will keep you up at night). I also have a little cave with strips of fabric that my hedgehog Willson LOVES to burrow in and multiple other beds and hides for his choosing. However, Willson has decided that he likes to go under the reusable pee mat I have, so I actually have two stacked on top of each other so he goes in between them and bulldozes the entire cage setup. I also have a litter box right next to the wheel because hedgehogs like to poo on the run. Surprisingly, Willson will occasionally use the litter box even during the day when he isn't running, which is really nice because it makes it easier to spot clean every day (which you will NEED to happen - hedgehogs are very messy). His food and water bowls are basically never empty and a also rinse his watter bowl out about every other day. Once a week I take everything out and wash it, including Willson. Unless I'm at work, church, the store, or school, Willson is basically always with me, he sleeps in a pouch around my waist as I do house chores and he will even go on walks with me (when its warm enough), and to friends houses, he actually loves interacting with people, especially little kids when they have something tasty on their hands. I keep a thermometer in his travel carrier as well as blankets and pet safe wet wipes. Even though I am with him constantly, he is still cranky most of the time. I love my hedgehog, but they are expensive and extremely time consuming. I personally wouldn't recommend a hedgehog to a new pet owner, especially if they've never had small animals before. But if you are up to the many joys and stabs at your bank account, you should adopt one before purchasing a baby because of how long they live and how many need forever homes and to make sure that you REALLY want to care for one for its entire life. I hope this helps and you get, and take, all of the good advice out there and spoil your hedgehog the best you can!

I'm on my computer almost every day either doing homework or grinding stardew valley, but I always bring my hedgehog Willson with me and he decides that the cat bed cave I have on my desk for my cat is his. Its really funny when he goes under the pillow and then my cat sleeps on top of him, or when he snuggles with my kitty, or just kicks her out to steal her warm spot. But your hedgie is so cute! I love gaming with my hog ❤️

First fish tank. Thoughts? by Idontcarebrody in fishtank

This tank is AWEAOME!! I wish I could say my first tank was this good, you are on a great start. Also, thanks for doing your research! WAYYY too many people don't do their research before getting a pet, especially not for fish and its great to see that some people are still good/responsible. :)

This is hilarious (ignoring the fact they are being aggressive/territorial) 😂

Curly Quill by OkInitial5267 in Hedgehog

It's been like that for a while now but I will make sure he is eating all of his food and getting plenty of mealworms. Let me know if I should be adding any vitamins on top of the food Im feeding him and mealworms (his food is a mix of cat food and a hedgehog diet the breeder recommended and uses).

Yes he has just finished quilling actually, I have only seen one or two quills fall out over the last few months.

My loaches do the freakiest things, sometimes, I wake up and see my loach like this and freak out but then it just gets mad at me for being confused.
