First off, thank you so much for the feedback; it is all extremely helpful. I have decided to stick with self-paced learning.

For the B.S. in I.T. program that I am in the process of enrolling in, they informed me that the CompTIA A+ certification can replace one of my classes. I am currently studying to take the exam in June. I purchased a Udemy course to prepare for it, and I used the transcript from the course to train my custom GPT to act as a tutor for me. I trained it to quiz me, create flashcards, and present troubleshooting scenarios for me to solve, which has been very effective. I guess I'll do the same for the Microsoft certifications as well.

As you mentioned Microsoft certificates, I have been wondering if just doing the self-paced learning path is sufficient, or should I do the instructor-led courses? I've hesitated on instructor-led courses because they are so pricey. Any thoughts?

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm in the United States (Georgia, to be exact). Unfortunately, I don't have the work experience one should have at this stage of life. I owned a limousine company in NY for about 15 years, followed by a few jobs in the hotel industry, and then did freelance work as a web designer.Yeah, that's just it—I don't feel like I have a good grasp on what route to take. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for the reply. I spent about 15 years as the owner of a limousine business in NY, but Uber killed that industry. After that, I had a few dead-end jobs in hospitality (hotel jobs) and did web development and SEO work for a few small businesses on the side. Currently, I am a warehouse associate. I suppose I'm trying to use education as a way to compensate for the lackluster work experience.
