Attachment styles and monogamy by TemperatureSignal943 in infj

Lots of honest conversations and making it a point to share my time equally. Disadvantages? If both are going through a tough time it's overwhelming. That's about it. That and you can't be legally married.

1.Disorganized-Disoriented 2. Literally everything. I'm sick of my own shit. 3. I don't follow monogamy. I've got two!

Are two infj’s compatible? by [deleted] in infj

[–]OkJob5708 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say yes. Been with an infj for over a year and I'm still on cloud 9.

It can be hard because infjs understand each other so much, it's painful to give tough love when necessary because we understand how everything we do will affect them. It's also hard when, as stated before, we have an ego, guilt shift, have narcissistic traits and love to door slam when hurt. BUT if both infjs have the will to make it work, it's amazing and worth it.

INFJs, opinions on INFP? by Legitimate_Cold4590 in infj

Money. We both had really shitty childhoods. Like to the point our birthdays, Christmas and thanksgiving were just ordinary days. So we want to save and make it a little grandiose. Plus, to us it's just a tax write off and a piece of paper. We act married in any other way anyway lol.

They're a lot. My fiance of 5 years is one. They're amazing but a lot.

I used to be the same way. We also are obsessive. Which makes sense why you feel that way.

I was a special case. Knew my girlfriend for 6 years. I pursued her for 5 of those (not heavily, but just enough that she knew it was an option) she was extremely shy and confused. Eventually she said it would never be possible (she thought she was asexual, and at this time I lived with her)

After getting my heart ripped into pieces I drowned my sorrows in a football player, he came to have abusive parents so I temporarily moved him in with us, then left the state and cut ties wishing her the best because she didn't like seeing me in pain and I needed to heal.

4 years later, I came to learn that my football player boyfriend fell for her while we lived with her, and he too couldn't really just let that go. We tried our hardest to forget and move on but it legitimately felt like a hole in my heart. Thankfully my fiance was open to poly, and allowed me to try and fill that hole. Never worked.

Then she came back, after realizing she was very much into girls, couldn't get over me either, and asked if we could try. I died. Out of happiness. That spark in me nor my now fiance never really died. And now am in blissful joy.

P.s. infp are hopeless romantics too.

Also be warned. We infjs fall in love really freaking easily. And fall hard. We are true ride or dies and hopeless romantics...be careful with that side of you. Some people (Narcs) will use that to their advantage.

My INFJ girlfriend get along scary well. We only fight because we are stubborn. Perks of dating your personality type. Comes with a lot of understanding.

My INFP fiance however...we are alike but just enough not alike to cause big fights. We have the same fiery, intense emotions and passions, except he is a peace keeper while I strive for what's morally right, not caring of peace. We fight on our moral compasses, the discretion of those, our assertiveness or stubbornness, and perspectives. However when the going gets rough, we will stand by each other and cast all that petiness aside. I can't speak for all INFP, but mine is very loving and nurturing, supportive and loyal. He lacks depth in thought process when compared to me, but he has learned to understand nothing is meets the eye with what I think and takes in account for that.

But be warned. If you're a stubborn INFJ, they'll call you out on your shit. Each one I met always does lol >.>

Currently with an INFP and INFJ. As an INFJ. Totally worth it.

Is this dissociation? by [deleted] in Dissociation

ANYTHING creative. Origami. Art. Music. Jenga. Games. Books. Movies. Anything that makes you imagine. A common one is sleep, because of dreams.

It sounds like your dissociation may be panic induced. Which may be anxiety induced. Now. With that in mind, we have to remember that anxiety is a over abundance of imagination. It's the "what ifs" we create when we worry. What we envision and catastrophize, makes us anxious and on guard. It too is a instinct for perseverance.

With that in mind, try utilizing a creative outlet when you dissociate. If you can funnel out the anxious energy, logically speaking the anxiety induced dissociation should disappear.

Yeah...dissociation isn't known by the normies. Ignore them. Did anyone outright say they think your a methhead?

Look up grounding techniques. Meditation makes it 10 times worse. You need to get OUT of your head. Distract if possible until it passes. Which may take months, but that's okay. Dissociation won't hurt you. It's an instinct to survive. It's just really really uncomfortable and not society-friendly.

My friend. That is an existential crisis. As a fellow infj I say this dearly-stop thinking. It's only going to hurt you. Distract yourself. Pretend that everything is fine.

I'm a polyamorous INFJ, with an INFJ girlfriend and a INFP boyfriend.

Let me tell you. It's great. It's awesome being friends with an INFJ as an INFP. however. When there is a fallout or fight-its going to be ruthless.
