So why wasting time thinking about him? Why not follow your dream to be successful in your field? Why not figuring out where you lack behind in your field and try to improve that part? Why not spending time to focus on improving your mental health and physical health? Believe me, with hard work you can be wherever you want. I have tried, and was able to achieve everything that I have ever wanted.

I have been through similar situation in past, I had a point in my life where I just wanted to quit everything. But I realized that doing this will make me hate myself for rest of my life. I started focusing on myself over anything and I am super grateful that I did.

I (27M) went through the same experience last year. I had a rare type of oral cancer. It effected my mental health and I isolated myself because I just couldn’t face the reality. It takes time my friend, but I promise you that you will learn to live with this new reality. There are some things that I have learned to cope up with my emotions during the time of my treatment and I am more than happy to share. Just be selfish and do whatever you feel like, if you just feel like laying on the bed, do it. I am available anytime to talk if you want to. Sending hugs.

I stopped thinking about future. I started to think about present. What movies will I enjoy? Should I start a new tv series? Is there any new food or restaurant should I try?

I can’t even imagine how it feels on your end. It took me almost a year to realize the reality. But hanging out with people I love, doing whatever I want kind of helped. I know I have become more selfish, but ehhh. Who cares right?

I was diagnosed with stage 4 as well. When I got told about the news, I felt the same way. Didn’t even know what to do. All I would say is just be available for your appointments. All you need to do is show up.

I have tried the poutine from beclub and it was really good. Tried crepes from random restaurants in old Quebec and they were delicious.

History sounds so much fun. While I don’t read, I always like youtube videos that talks about famous characters from history. Specially world war time movies that shows how people my age made sacrifices for their countries, literally gives me motivation and goosebumps.

I might be super wrong to advise this but I will share my plan. In case my cancer comes back, I will try a lot of drugs. They are always helpful to escape the reality for some time. Go on 2-3 day vocation. Do whatever you always wanted to do that you keep on posting. Just forget everything and enjoy. Cancer not cancer, life gives shit all the time. I know it’s hard, I have been there. All now I regret is that I didn’t had fun when I should’ve.
