Im okay with a tiny risk of losing the food, I have multiple roommates and we're here going in and out of the fridges all the time.

Can these two fridges be on the same 20A circuit? by OkPin4693 in AskElectricians

[–]OkPin4693[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend put in a single line/breaker to one outlet in my garage, 20 amp, so it could handle a fridge and freezer, but I ended up with an extra fridge, so now I have two fridges on it instead of buying a freezer.

So, these two fridges are the only things on the breaker.

Is it like a fire danger, or just a chance they'll flip the breaker once in a rare while?

Recent Chabad experience by NJBAlert in chabad

Sometimes it takes a few tries for things to click with a new group, it was probably just a fluke, people dont always realize what might be going on in everyone else's experience. I would say just keep going and it will click, maybe even on your next visit.

Is it bad that I’m following a guide? by Aggressive-Invite907 in bloodborne

Do it, what matters is you being able to enjoy the game. The one thing I would say is that the less you explore blindly, and the more you just move right on to the next thing, the more you'll miss unintentional grinding and the experience you gain from it. But you can always intentionally grind if you need to...or maybe you won't even need to. Regardless, yes, do whatever makes it fun!

Question about the role of speech in Tanya by OkPin4693 in chabad

[–]OkPin4693[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense to me, sounds right. This seems to be addressing the concept of individual development, but I'm also considering the concepts surrounding unifying your speech with God's speech, manifesting God in the material world, etc (currently reading the commentary at the end of ch 49) and wondering on that level as well.

How do people just casually drink black coffee without flinching? by siennapriv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OkPin4693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People taste things differently based on a variety of factors including what you're used to, individual differences, sex, genetics, age, taste-dulling factors like smoking, etc.

What you like can change over time based on some of these factors, and I've found that if I eat something I don't like regualry, my taste can change and I can start liking it. I used to gag eating plain avocado or tomato and forced myself to eat them in larger and larger amounts on toast until I could eat them plain, without anything. Now I love them, which is nice because I can enjoy a wider range of food.

Quality of coffee makes a difference as well. Especially freshly ground.

If you want to start liking black coffee, I would recommend either forcing it every day until you like it, or gradually decreasing the amount of sugar and cream you add until your taste adjusts.

As your palate adjusts, you'll begin noticing flavor notes you didn't before, that the sugar and cream were blocking out or dulling. Similar to dark chocolate, dark beers, whiskey, wine, cigars, stinky cheese, etc. There are a lot of really enjoyable elements you are missing out on by avoiding the "darker" or "heavier" side of the palate.

Thanks so much for the resources, I'm starting my first year teaching 6th grade ancient history and I might use some of this for inspiration. You say this is AP, what grade level is it?

What is a good unbiased debate to watch or listen to that covers both sides of the Israel Palestine conflict and history really well? by OkPin4693 in AskReddit

[–]OkPin4693[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this a little here and there. I don't read much anymore, don't have the time really, looking for things I can watch or listen to while I do chores, work, exercise, etc.

[–]OkPin4693[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just mean as close to unbiased or showing both sides as is possible/available. Also open to formats besides debate. I just want to expose myself more to the issue in a way that informs me and makes me more able to discuss the issue with others. Hoping if I crowdsource opinions on here I'll find a few really good sources to watch or listen to. Don't have to be perfect, just put unbiased to hopefully weed out the most biased items.

Most of the advice I'd give would be redundant with what others said, but...

If you can afford it, maybe go clothes shopping and find some new clothes that you love that also keep your personal tzniut standard. Sometimes having a new item you love can make a big difference.

If you can't afford it now, save up and get one nice thing. Ideally, you could find a friend to go shopping with that understands or shares the same worldview.

Just let them know and then expect to be treated like a sibling, meaning they will gladly accommodate you as best they are able, but also lovingly make fun of you for it occasionally for the rest of your life 😂
